This dinner and show takes place in a barn-like building that seats 450 diners. It was full, which likely reflects the very limited dining choices in the area. The food was served cowboy style from a chow line. There were choices such as pulled pork, grilled salmon, steak and chicken but only one vegetarian option. This was portobello mushroom strips topped with a grated cheese sauce with spinach. The food was served unpleasantly cool. There were several sides such as beans, mash and biscuits. I ate the coleslaw side which was very good but overall I did not care for the food. The show was okay if you like country music. The musicians were hardworking and put on an adequate show, but it was rather hokey. This type of evening probably appeals to some, but poor food and so-so country music did not appeal to me.

Open from 5 PM to 10 PM for Dinner. Reservations recommended especially for parties over 5 and between 7:00 PM and 8 :30 PM as this is our busiest time.
Dinner in Bryce Canyon Village is pretty much one choice, something that's part of or owned by Ruby (who owned our hotel). We were really looking for something more interesting and my bride found a link to a place on Trip Advisor called The Stone Hearth Grille in the nearby community of Tropic. We weren't sure what to expect since most of the food near Bryce itself is pretty much steaks and burgers and that's not us. So we set our GPS and drove the seven short miles to Tropic and after some fun searching (if you go, just know it's kind of off the beaten track) we found it and we are glad we did.
This has to be the only "interesting" food in the area. Kathleen had an awesome pork chop and I had some incredible mushroom risotto. Service was by the incomparable Tim who took excellent care of us. Best service in Utah up to that point. Be warned though, you do pay a premium for this great food. My thoughts were that we would keep the cost down in Bryce as we were out in the hinterlands but this dinner ended up being one of the most expensive of the trip. A split appetizer, two entrées, two cocktails, one glass of wine and a split dessert were in excess of $160 with tip but it was a great value as the food and service warranted the price.

Located on Scenic Byway 12 in Tropic, the "back door to Bryce Canyon."
They have great “real” coffee and the homemade chocolates were a delight . Nice little stop on our way to and from Bryce Canyon

Thank God for i.d.k. because we would have gone hungry staying in Tropic. Good bbq beef biscuit, chicken and (maybe Pork) served in 1/4 or 1/2 lb servings. This includes one side - slaw, potato salad or Mac & Cheese. No bread unless you want to pay an extra $. Drinks are available inside the hotel and mini mart at the Sinclair station. Seating is out doors at picnic tables. Bring your jacket, because it can be windy.

Seasonal - Bryce Canyon Lodge is open April 1 - October 31.
We didn't eat here in the evening during our stay but breakfast was very enjoyable. Good quality and varied dishes on offer. Lovely decor, very well thought out, no matter where you are seated there is something interesting and decorative around you.

Ate here both nights we were in Tropics as enjoyed so much first night, the pizzas were delicious. No starters for us just straight in for the pizza. Managed a dessert between us the 2nd night which was brownie goodness. Service was fast and staff polite. Was seated quickly both nights although it was busy.

Welcome to Rustler's Restaurant. We are located in the quaint town of Tropic, just below Bryce Canyon. Here at Rustler's we strive to give you the best experience we can. We offer a variety of food choices to choose from and serve Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner! We invite you to come and dine with us and enjoy our Rustic, Western atmosphere. We are excited to serve you and hope you enjoy your experience at Rustler's!
Visiting Bryce Canyon in March, there are really only three restaurants open, so we thought we’d try all of them. Rustler’s is operating on a winter menu, which was pretty meager. The fish and chips was dry and almost unappetizing. Frozen fish from the grocery store is definitely superior. The chicken burrito was okay, but the chicken was dry and needed all the sauce smothering it. Service was adequate, but sort of disappointing given that our server had only one other table. Overall, underwhelming. Should have just gone to Ruby’s Inn Restaurant again instead of driving to Tropic.

Nice atmosphere, but the food was so-so. Had a chicken dish, fried potatos and green beans. It all tasted like it was pre cooked and warmed up. Nothing was crispy or fresh tasting. Asked for butter for the green beans and was told it was all frozen. The guitar player, Montana Bob was great, and the server was very nice. Too bad the food was so-so.

This motel is located on the scenic HWY 12 running from Bryce to Boulder. If nothing else do this drive! The motel is nice, the rooms a bit small and a bit rustic. The property has a hot tub and a restaurant. Spaces for RV parking too. Friendly staff at a convenient location close to Bryce.

Valhalla Pizzeria and Coffee Shop is Open Seasonally (April to October) in the Mornings from 6am to 11:30am for speciality coffee drinks and fresh baked pasteries. Closed during the day but re-opens at 3pm till 10pm for Italian selections to include fresh baked pizza, Lasagne, salads and desserts. Wine and beer are served. Pickup available and delivery is available if you are staying at The Lodge at Bryce Canyon.
We went here for pizza and salads. Both were awful. The pizza was clearly microwaved. They serve wine by the glass, but the red wine was warm...almost hot. The staff of the restaurant appear to all be Turkish students...quite charming, if brusque! They say they like Bryce, but Cappadocia is better!
On the positive side, they have the best WiFi in the park.
