Once upon a time Soda Fountains were found throughout America. From the fancy shops of the East Coast to the small town drugstores of the Midwest to the beaches of the West Coast, everyone loved ice cream and found it at the local Soda Fountain. The vision of restoring a historic Soda Fountain led us to this circa 1900 pharmacy in Lebanon, Illinois. Many hours were spent restoring the Soda Fountain to its original grandeur in the hope of recreating the atmosphere that was so vivid in our memories. Our goal is to give you a place to sit and enjoy a taste of the past, creating new memories for the future. Dr. Jazz Soda Fountain proudly serves award-winning premium ice cream shipped specially from dairies all across the United States. Try our phosphates, sodas and specialty ice cream creations - we bet you can't finish the Ice Cream Overdose! The menu includes our excellent Italian Beef, Chicago-Style Hot Dog, and Burgers, along with salads, sides and more sandwiches. Take a step back in time with us, and experience the flavor of an old-time soda fountain and the quality of all american cuisine.
My husband and I were on a road trip, looking for a non-chain place to eat lunch. We saw a sign for Lebanon-historic downtown. What a great surprise! We turned off the highway and discovered downtown Lebanon. The visitor center volunteer suggested Dr Jazz for lunch. We really loved it. We ordered the sausage sandwich and it was really good (we found out they have their sausage specially made). Also, really cute, lots of history in a cute old building.

I've been going to Wood Bakery since I was little, and it is still as amazing as it ever was. Their cakes are delicious and have been a staple of our family's birthday celebrations for years. Their donuts are SO good and are a wonderful weekend treat!! Prices are great too for the quality!

Texas Roadhouse is a steak restaurant providing legendary food with legendary service. Texas Roadhouse specializes in hand-cut steaks, fresh-baked bread, fall-off-the-bone-ribs, and made-from-scratch sides. We also serve ice cold beer and legendary margaritas. Treat your family and friends to a night at Texas Roadhouse.
My family and I were in town for a sports card/autograph show and we stopped in for an early dinner on Saturday afternoon. We were promptly seated and quickly greeted by our attentive waitress, Essie (Esmeralda). My husband and I tried out 4 different cocktails and they were all very good. Three of us ordered the Dallas filet and they were cooked to perfection. My youngest and pickiest child ordered the ribs off the kids menu and he loved them. Our waitress did something that very few waitstaff do... she asked if we would like another drink, as our son was finishing his dessert, or if we would like our check. I thoroughly appreciate when someone does this!!
I would love to have this Texas Roadhouse location and our waitress relocated to our hometown. Our experience was literally perfect. Thank you!!

We love the family owned Mike's Place. Ruth is the owner and is a gem of a person, but also makes some of the best pizza we've ever tasted. This is a small town bar that has a kitchen, but the pizza is phenomenal. They have recently made some positive improvements to the building, which improved the overall look inside and out.

Great concept but I'm unfortunately not a fan. I've been here 3-4 times and the cupcakes always are dry and not worth the price. Lunch options are ok but again fairly pricey. With there being several other options in town, both for much tastier baked goods and boutique lunch menus, we will skip this one.

We like their pizza, we go there from time to time. But it's an acquired taste. Its always busy. The service is excellent. But be aware, the pizza, unless ordered special. Will usually have ingredients which will surprise. Like potatoes or mango or fig. Some...MoreThanks for the great review Armin! We appreciate your business and your feedback. Hope to see you again soon!

We had the combo platter for four. Platter included sliced brisket, pulled pork, slab of baby backs. Four sides were included. Cole slaw, beans, chips and pickles. All were excellent! Corn bread is very good. Nice selection of beer. The Blues plays in background.
We'll definitely go back!

Middle of afternoon and we were first in line with plenty of tables available. Hostess ask us to wait just a moment. Several minutes passed and others came in behind us. They were seated and we were still waiting. Finally our turn came. Hostess and wait staff appeared to be disorganized and confused. Plenty of them but no control. Waitress slow coming to table, but finally took our order. Food slow in being served. Food was good, hot and tasty, but diminished by lack of good service.
