The Sandwich Shop is a long-time Delphi tradition. The burgers are great but we love the fish and shrimp dinners! We split our order; one of us gets the fries and the other the onion rings as a side and share. The home-made from scratch milk shakes are a real treat too.

Visited here for dinner before a show as one of our group was familiar with this establishment. A delightful surprise, with a soup, salad, and sandwich menu as well as desserts all made from scratch. Great flavor on the soups and sandwiches, made with Great Harvest bread. Try the house sandwich with ham and Swiss on raisin bread! As you would guess, awell served tea and a nice assortment of homemade desserts; bread pudding with caramel sauce was FINE! Great personal service as well.

We've visited a few times since we moved to town. Open only 8AM - 8PM Wednesday through Saturday, Andy's provides a small town atmosphere with great coffee, ice cream, and home cooked meals! The owner is a wonderful man who serves you with care and his food is delicious. Be sure to order the breaded tenderloin at least once!

Brick and Mortar Pub

Reviewed By Eric F - West Lafayette, Indiana

My daughter and I tried the recommended Brick and Mortar for lunch last month, as we like to stop through the picturesque town.

Nice atmosphere and quiet, some classic rock playing, no country or rap. Good, tasteful decor, with sand-blasted brick walls and lots of woodwork on the bar, the place would remind you of a scale-model version of Sgt. Preston’s in Lafayette. Mixed drinks are about as good, too, to be honest.

My vegan daughter was impressed with their house salad, just take out the chicken, the homemade dressing was pretty good, she said. I had good and difficult choices but broke down for their huge fried catfish sandwich (cole slaw on the side was very good, their fries are equally impressive). Catfish comes with cornmeal breading, very tasty. All their menu is well thought out.

I’ve seen reviews where the place is really packed but we had no such problem for lunch on a Saturday. Look forward to going back when it’s warm enough to enjoy their patio. If you’re in Delphi for Canal Days or to visit one of their antique shops, a trip to the Brick and Mortar is in order.

A great little food truck parked in a convenient spot in Monticello, IN for all to enjoy. Only problem is that it is only there every other Wednesday! Then you either have to enjoy their delicious food at their restaurant in Delphi or find out where they will be parking the truck on any other day! The veggie quesadilla with the roasted corn & black bean salsa was to die for as was the chicken bacon ranchwich and the Mitchi-Changa! Will definitely return to the little food truck or take a trip to Delphi!

This is not for the "you" on a diet. BUT, suspend that thought and take in all the things this friendly place in downtown Delphi has to offer. It was a place locals go and the service was friendly. (We felt like locals too.)

Sandwiches are good as are all breakfast items. I ordered a BLT. The bread was really the best part of that sandwich. My fellow diners had breakfast things and were totally happy. Since I had hoped for a little more tomato and lettuce on my sandwich, I could have spoken up, but I just did not really care because we were having a good time.

My sister took home cookies for her husband who was working and could not come with us. This is a good place to eat at a good price. Just not for the day you need to cut back calories.

We commute a ways to work, so we eat out frequently and we usually eat here at least 2 to 3 times a month. Good food and friendly staff. Last time service was a bit slow but it was their catfish night and they were very busy. Pizza is good and so is the catfish. We will be back!

This place is great. It's just a little building in a parklot but my husband and I were more than pleased.
This little dive joint is everything a dive should be. Great food that they let you sample first, friendly and helpful service and great conversations. They lay it all out for you plain as day. My husband and I had the pork ribs with two generous sides. The macaroni and cheese was creamy, the ed skin potatoes were perfectly cooked and buttered and the green beans were fresh and tasty. The menu changes daily but the prices don't.
They open at 11am and close when they run out of food.
They accept cash and card buy charge you 7% if you slide youth card to cover charges.
If your ever going through Delphi, I highly recommend you try it out.

The Blue Moose

I will return here. It was a cute little ice cream / yogurt shop that had everything you would expect, maybe a little more. Delicious frozen yogurt. Some specific ratings below:

5/5: Atmosphere. Cute, cozy, and quiet. They also have outside seating (ignore the construction, I'm sure it will be finished soon!) with umbrellas for shade.

5/5: Food variety. While I was here just for dessert, I saw a few other patrons ordering real food (cooked, grilled, etc).

5/5: Dessert topping! There are a ton of toppings options here.

4/5: The Ice Cream was very good ice cream. They only have two flavors (Vanilla or Chocolate), but it was real soft serve ice cream, not ice milk, or some other substitute.

4/5: Prices are about what you would expect. I really like the pay-by-weight system, so you can pretty much load up what you want. It's pricey for a small town, but totally in-line with what I have paid at other similar places in bigger cities.

3/5: Variety of desserts needed some help. The sign outside said Gelato - but there is no Gelato here. Out of about 15-20 flavors, there are TWO ice cream flavors (Vanilla and Chocolate), TWO Sorbet flavors, and all the rest is frozen yogurt.

2/5: Signage needs help. This is a MINOR issue, but the signs above each flavor don't adequately indicate if it's yogurt, ice cream, etc.

Overall, this was a nice place to visit for nice treats, and we will return!
