Here on a business trip, meetings at 8am, this location doesn't open until 7:30am. I arrived early to avoid delays. After more of the group arrived the line became really long, the barista was getting overwhelmed and stressed. Drink was good though.

Established in 1982 by the Owens Family, The Fudge Factory is a family owned candy business, specializing in homemade confections. Starting out as a small, local shop, The Fudge Factory has become a favorite stop for local citizens and visitors to our community. For more than 30 years, the owners have combined quality ingredients and time-tested recipes to create an outstanding product line. Our retail store is located on Dahlonega's Historic Square at the Corner of Park Street and Main Street, directly across from the Welcome Center. Daily, our craftspeople make over twelve varieties of fudge, along with caramel, Dahlonega nuggets pralines, brittles, divinity and hand-dipped chocolates. Throughout the years, we have remained dedicated to the ideals established in the beginning- the freshest ingredients combined with attention to detail in order to bring to you an unforgettable candy delight. For our old friends who have visited our store in Dahlonega, we hope your mouth waters again as you consider our list of delicacies. For our new friends, we would like to acquaint you with some of the delicious, gourmet candy favorites you will find in our shop.
Located right on the main square, really good fudge, a large selection. Also had other candy. Liked that you could buy small amounts of several different flavors of fudge instead of just on large pemeasured block. Good prices

We have eaten here several times for lunch, however Sunday was the first time we got to come for Brunch. The food is always fine, not tremendous, but perfectly fine. It is just too convenient to be able to eat, drink & view in the same place to not eat here sometimes! There is a hike and the parking is very scattered, however the view makes it worth it. I have always thought the wines were overpriced and are fine, but like the food, not outstanding. Wolf has it in the view & having everything in one place, particularly if you want to kind of feel like you are in CO, etc. I love the lodge feel of the place and the deck upstairs is awesome. The brunch is seasonal and I enjoyed the offerings with the Gazpacho being fabulously flavorful & with a little texture still to the veggies - truly delicious. I also loved the Red Beans and Rice with the Shrimp: very, very flavorful too. To us, the collards needed some acid/vinegar, the Monte Cristo's were ok, however the waffles underneath were totally soggy. I would have toasted English muffins and used that as a base as it would have stayed firmer longer. I think they cut the cheese cubes WAY too small (I understand they do this for waste prevention) however you never get a decent mouthful of flavor. Also, they cut the bread into small cubes also and I just don't think this works well at all. The breads served on the buffet were not great - kind of dry and flavorless. I am not an eater of ham though it looked good. Overall, again, great view, nice to have an upscale-type place in the mountains besides LeVigne. And to the Napa Valley reviewer, of course you can not compare this food to NV...It all depends on what and where you are used to eating...This is a good effort and worth a try.

Shenanigans Restaurant & Irish Pub- or simply "The Pub" to its loyal guests and staff- is the "Cheers" of Dahlonega: a welcoming place to enjoy delicious food & drinks while making friends & memories. Shenanigans is located just off the picturesque Dahlonega square in the historic Strickland House. Look for the white building flying the Irish flag! Step inside and you'll quickly discover a very special atmosphere & dining experience. From the walls plastered with dollar bills decorated by guests, to the smiling servers behind a full liquor bar covered with photographs of celebrations past, it is clear that this is a place where people love to be. We also feature weekly live music, Trivia, & Open Mic Night. Our fun, creative menu offers something for everyone and keeps our guests returning time after time. Classic pub foods like burgers, pizza, & wings are served alongside Irish favorites like Shepherd's Pie, Fish & Chips, or Bangers & Mash. Shenanigans also features lighter "Leaves & Ladels" fare and hearty entrees like Balsamic Basil Sirloin, P.E.I. Mussels Linguini, or Seared Ahi Tuna. Don't miss out on the legendary "Crack Dip." Do you have special dietary needs? Don't worry! We have many vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free options, and we will help you find a tasty meal for any allergy. Catering available.
We were part of a food tour and made our way over to Shenanigans Irish Pub. Here was a place that offers traditional Irish dishes, pub fare, seafood, vegetarian and kids' options. The pub is located in the basement of the historic Strickland house, with walls covered with customer-autographed dollar bills; you will feel as though you're in Ireland. We were seated in an area upstairs where we were served ‘Bangers and mash’. This dish gets its name because sausages used to burst while cooking; mash meanwhile, refers to the mashed potatoes. We enjoyed the meal and would like to return to enjoy the live music that we could hear from downstairs. This gets an ‘A’ from us.

Nothing special in terms of ice cream (Mayfield's brand) but they do give you a large scoop. Price is as large as the scoop (you can almost by a half gallon from any grocery store for what they charge but hey when you need a cone there's not much competition in the nearby area). Long lines. Has a few tables inside and a counter.

We were a part of a food tour when we visited The Picnic Cafe and Dessertery. Our guide told us it has been around since 2001and has always been a mom and pop restaurant that goes out of their way to make customers feel at home. I could see that with the way the place was decorated and laid out. A real homey feel! Our guide also said that it had won multiple awards from best lunch to best dessert. I could not agree with that because we were served a very tasteless chocolate cake that was a bit dry. Maybe it was because of the humidity and we caught them on a bad day. Overall I will have to give this place a ‘C’.

We went for lunch and it didn't live up to the reviews. The beignets were just solid dough, more like doughnuts. The muffaletta was on French Bread. The crabcake was inedible. Not sure I would come back.
