We were in Lafayette for my sons soccer tournament so I looked up where to get a great cup of coffee and this little gem popped up. What a great find. The owner was working the counter. She was super helpful and very nice. The coffee was excellent and the breakfast sandwiches were homemade and very good. We will hopefully get back there soon.

For some reason kolaches are very big in the area, apparently some Poles must of migrated to the swamp along with the French.

Went for breakfast sunday and had the huge dining room to ourselves- safe one other non church attendee.

I had called ahead and knew that their breakfast menu is the regular menu. No eggs here, its a smokehouse.

I ordered the crawfish etouffee from the steam table choices. When in the crawfish capital of the world , do you have a choice.

Your side choices really didnt complement a rice based dish, but i tried the dirty rice and the potato salad. We also tried a boudin ball.

Lets start with the potato salad. This was the first time i had essentially mashed potato salad and it was delicious. make mashed potatoes add seasoning and a touch of mustard chill and serve in a scoop. YUM

The dirty rice was tasty.

the crawfish etouffee was good. Worth $14.50 in a grocery store, served steam table style on styrofoam, no.

We went in to get a few pastries, and we're pretty happy with the baklava, glazed donuts and chocolate donuts. We also picked up a king cake to take home. I'm eager to try the king cake.

You're in Breaux Bridge. You have to have crawfish, right? We enjoyed a platter full of the boiled little creatures here. Our waitress was delightful, even bringing a second helping we didn't ask for. The Zydeco music playing fairly loud helped set the fun mood. Would have enjoyed a tap beer or two. Only had bottles.

Chez Jacqueline Restaurant

Not much to look at from the outside and somewhat eclectic and nondescript inside, Chez Jacqueline offers a lovely dining experience. Delicious crab cakes, great bisque, and -- mon Dieu! -- fresh and tasty produce. Everything is hand-prepared by Jacqueline, so when busy it can be slow, and Chez Jacqueline doesn't accept credit cards. Attentive service. Would dine there again in a heartbeat.

Angelle's Ice Cream Shoppe & Grille

Reviewed By Golfchop60 - Lafayette, Louisiana

Seriously, walked in and seated ourselves then waited 20 minutes for a waitress to even recognize we needed menu's. She passed by our table no less that 12 times would not even make eye contact, Waited another 10 minutes for her to even come back to take our order. This place is very small, seats less than 35 people it's loud and noisy you can't even have a conversation, food is way overpriced. They seem to worry more about the ice cream parlor side than the restaurant side. We never did order, got up and left, for the crowd that was there the staff should have been able to manage. We even saw another group of people leave.
