Excellent selection for vegetarians, gluten-free and pescatarian. The vegetable tagine was comparable to the tagines I've had in Paris and Istanbul. The chef provided a gluten-free version in addition to the standard fare. The fish dinner was also superb! The atmosphere was exquisite with Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone and Billie Holiday playing softly in the background at this historic home. Leaving the restaurant, however, feels dangerous as the driveway abuts a busy street with no visibility. The addition of a mirror across from the driveway to ensure safety when leaving would make this a perfect place for a special occasion.

We stopped for breakfast on the way to The Giants Causeway, what a great decision.
The tea rooms were quite full ,which was a good sign.
We found a table and ordered various breakfasts from the friendly waitress. The food was good quality and well presented. I can recommend a full Irish.
I`d love to visit again and try one of the cakes on display.

I called into Molly's Ballymoney a couple of days ago with my son for a drink as we had time before catching a train.
I ordered two drinks, one was a blackcurrant juice dilute. The lady behind the bar charged me £1.00 for a small dash of blackcurrant cordial.
After returning to my seat this started to annoy me - the price of a dilute blackcurrant!!!!.
I asked the blonde haired lady, who was heavily made up with makeup ( not sure what her position was - in her late 40s - early 50s I'd say ). She answered " That is the going rate for a dash everywhere." I responded telling her I'd worked in the Catering trade all my life and had never charged anywhere near £1 for a dash of cordial in a single glass.
After leaving my young son informed me the lady involved continued to make faces behind my back until we left the so called restaurant.
This made us cry with laughter outside, after which I told my son in life you sometimes come across some really silly, pathetic individuals.

Having pre-ordered food for 33 people, we arrived to collect the order. After a few minutes wait while they compiled everything we were served with excellent sausage/burger/chicken goujons and chips with a drink for an excellent price. If I'm in Ballymoney again, I'll definitely call here..

Was recommended to me so out on our travelson Sunday morning we stopped . Was opened punctually at 9 to the waiting customers. We were greeted warmly and friendly . Or order was taken promptly and within 10 -15 mins our freshly cooked breakfast arrived.
It was 100% gorgeous we both opted for the special 7 piece fry ( we were allowed to choose our own 7 ) accompanied with tea ( top ups included ).
They have quite an extensive menu .
Restaurant was lovely and clean.
Will definitely be making a return visit in the near future .

Good choice, good food, quick and friendly service. It's a sit-in chippy so no fancy fine dining here, but portions are large and the chips aren't greasy. Worth a stop if you're in Ballymoney but I wouldn't be pulling in off the A26 in passing just to eat here.

Popped in while walking up Ballymoney High Street on a Bank Holiday Monday. Bought a Full Monty Irish Breakfast and Maple pankcakes for the two of us. A bill of £8.45 was exceptional! Two large glasses of tap water also provided. The food was really hot and we really enjoyed it.
The decor is very orange and looks dated. The staff we pleasant and helpful. Give Monty's a try!

The Boatyard Coffee Shop is quite off the beaten track, but wife and I were already in the locality for once and we decided to check it against the good reviews we had seen.
It's a snug little place, reasonably comfortable in traditional style, fairly quiet (no piped music!) and comfortable enough. Daily newspapers in a rack on the wall was a nice homely touch. I had an Americano and some home made shortbread while my partner had a bowl of traditional porrage, a very large bowl of porrage with a small tub of honey and another tub of raspberry and blueberry jams.
Service was very friendly, though a little unsynchronised with all items arriving at slightly different times. Not enough to be called poor, just enough to be noticeable. My Americano was good, as was the shortbread. My wife pronounced the porrage and preserves as really excellent. I think the bill was about £8GB and that's not too bad for this kind of thing. But a glance at the menu struck me that meal prices are just a little higher than many similar establishments in this area.
We were very happy that we finally dropped in there and we found it to be very pleasant. We wouldn't go very far out of our way to visit again, although I would quite like to sample some proper meals to see if they are good value and as tasty as reported by other reviewers.Definitely worth the visit.
