Saint Katharine Drexel Mission Center and Shrine

Reviewed By Roger I - The Woodlands, Texas

An inspirational location for Catholics as well as anyone who appreciates saints and examples of selfless service. The shrine has a very informative video about St Katharine's life plus museum pieces demonstrating the life of a truly remarkable woman and philanthropist. Spend some time in prayer in the shrine or Adoration in the chapel. You won't regret it.

Amico Island Park

Reviewed By GreenUnicorn - Southern NJ

Amico Island Park has two miles of trails that offer views of the Rancocas Creek as well as the Delaware River and the nearby marina. In some spots you can see Philadelphia in the distance. The only bathroom was one porto-potty at the entrance. There were a couple of picnic tables as well.

Some people were enjoying fishing on the pond inside the park. Overall, the atmosphere was very tranquil and unspoiled. Even on a sunny Sunday afternoon in April, not that many people were at the park.

We really enjoyed our walk at Amico Island Park, which is a very pretty spot tucked away from civilization.

Boundary Creek Natural Resource Area

Reviewed By Lorraine D - Cinnaminson, New Jersey

Beautiful waterfront park with easy walking trails. Well maintained boardwalks and observation decks on the creek. "Blinds" are not as suitable as I think they meant them to be. Cutouts are designed for taller and shorter people, but if you are in-between, it can be uncomfortable to try and watch any wildlife for very long. Lots of different habitat for birds and other wildlife. Nicely maintained bathrooms are an asset. Good place for seniors to walk as the paths are smooth and level; great place for young children to ride bikes and run around safely. Very family friendly.

45th Street Pub Edgewater Park

Reviewed By Belle-Noel - London, United Kingdom

Since I was last here 2 years ago the price has creeped up but it's still reasonable considering how much one can eat.

We all got the crab legs and then a side of loaded fries - so delicious and tasty.

The only issue with the whole evening was they were short of staff and so we spent most of the time waiting to be served, or waiting for our food. The waitress was nice and was run off her feet but it was pretty appalling considering it was a Saturday night.

Pennington Park

Reviewed By GreenUnicorn - Southern NJ

Pennington Park has a variety of facilities to meet a variety of needs. There is plenty of paved parking. We went on a Sunday afternoon and started with a picnic lunch. In addition to a covered pavilion, there are various picnic tables. The restrooms were very clean. Nearby, children were enjoying the playground. In another section of the park are two dog parks, one for small dogs and another for large dogs.

In addition to level trails totaling 3.8 miles, there are observation areas overlooking the Rancocas Creek. Adjoining Pennington Park is the Newton's Landing trail connection which offers some lovely views of the Rancocas Creek.

We enjoyed our couple of hours at Pennington Park!

Amazing Escape Room

Reviewed By Yumeeemama D

Customer service was AMAZING BEFORE we got to the brick and mortar building. When we got there, there was no one to greet us and people standing around everywhere. They have a sample wall which allows practice for the various locks but multiple samples were broken, or missing pieces.
I only knew about signing in because I heard someone else mention that they already signed in. The associates were great but they were running around trying to do multiple things. There REALLY needs to be a host or hostess for when people come in. We had never been there before so a brief overview of how this works would have been nice.
Once we were in the room, We were with a group who must do these for a living and they just started going when the door opened. They didn't communicate with us until I shared a clue I had found and not them. They were overbearing and didn't even care that we were in the room. Perhaps a brief introduction and an overview from the room master could have prepared ALL of us to work together.
This all said, I think this is a clever game and would like to return as long as no one else is in the room, since this was our experience. I felt bad for my daughter who was so excited to be there and wasn't able to truly participate because the group in there were savages!

Double Nickel Brewing Co

Reviewed By John and Nancy L - Stratford, New Jersey

We attended a party here with a group of +/- 30 people, and had a great time. This was our first visit, so we definitely plan to go back. They've got a cool environment and lots of beer choices (we liked the stout). It would be especially fun to go with friends with a packed dinner/ pizza, and play games that they have: corn hole, cards against humanity, board games.

Palmyra Cove Nature Park

Reviewed By Kyle F - Maple Shade, New Jersey

Animals are everywhere here! I was walking through with a friend and they were so close we could practically touch them. We wouldn't even realize they were nearby and then all of a sudden they would go running. We saw wild turkeys, deer, and beavers to add to the normal squirrel, birds, and bunnies. There were also turtles.

The park is beautiful with a lot of paths and areas to walk along the river as well. There's a nice little history and visitor's center area too. Good amount of parking.

I have done everything here - from attending large picnics. To group sports days for adults. Lunch outside, Festivals, and lots of fun with granddaughter from the little kiddie section to the bigger kids section over the years. Riding bikes around paths and sailing little batter boats... Mt. LAurel does have a gem in this park.

Grand Marketplace

Reviewed By DiAlJo - Hockessin, Delaware

The Grand Market Place is an Indoor Flea Market. There are many different individually owned shops of varied quality and value of products. There is everything from a produce market to many thrift shops. There are definitely many curious and oddity shops such as Lucky's Unique Antiques that we visited based on NJ Oddities recommendation. There is plenty of parking and they are open seven days a week. This place is where you visit if you are looking for the unusual based on the shops in there. Don't go there looking for any high-end accommodations.
