This is my very first time camping with my family and friends, and I can say that I really enjoy so much. Good weather, picturesque view enjoying sharing with friends. I advice when you are going here make it sure you bring everything you need, as you can't buy it on the mountain. Best camping time for me is during winter season here in UAE. After camping make it sure you clean everything in your place or else a fine of 10,000 aed. Im sure you will also enjoy going here and make yourself warm :D

Not having more shopping points but one side is Jwelled by Spinneys and nearby having Starbucks, these two junctions are most popular. Spinneys is worth for fresh fruits, and Max provides some attractive deals there. There are some good junctions at first floor at opposite end. Whole wooden crafted interior is worth to photograph.

Ras Al Khaimah National Museum

Reviewed By MomofJoakim - Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates

The museum is that of an interesting conglomerate of two-storey buildings surrounding a central courtyard. The big rectangular tower is the most impressive feature and a smaller tower occupies the opposite corner. Another prominent building is the wind tower, representing the traditional air conditioning of the past. Its open sides are designed to catch the breeze from any direction and funnel it down into the room below keeping it cool and ventilated, especially during hot summer months. The museum exhibits archaeological, historical and ethnographical objects. All exhibition rooms are situated around the inner courtyard garden and can be entered through antique wooden doors with traditional carved designs. The various galleries contain a rich variety of archaeological finds, historical information and aspects of the cultural heritage of this emirate. I went there a little late with my younger son and so we weren't able to explore everything because it was already dark, will go back soon with my two kids and the older one can't wait for his turn to visit it. A must visit if only to catch a glimpse of the past history of this beautiful emirate we call home for the past 11 years. ☺️

Decent enough shopping mall but that Al Hamara one adjacent to the Waldorf is in my opinion better. It looks like it's to be extended so no doubt it will improve. There is a very good supermarket at one end. The taxi drive from the Waldorf is approximately 10 quid each way, so it's not a rip off. There is a very, very nice chocolate shop called Patchi.

i found this place by accident when out on an exploratory drive i find it very peaceful and quiet
Good place for mindfulness and reflection
The guys ride the camels around and are always courteous and friendly
I have never actually been to the races themselves but from childhood memories in Bahrain imagine they are very loud and lively events.
Some times i have come across groups of people with camels and grooms in a market set up
With people driving round and looking at the camels and then discussing beauty, speed and breeding
Love this place

Ras al khaima surprised me as it seemed just like the other emirates. The rak mall was really nice inside and had a good experience shopping there. once we stepped outside of the mall which was the backside it was a whole different world. it was the most beautiful views. there is a lake and palm trees and grass as far as the eyes could see. The outside was spotless and outdoor restaurant Seating is available and you should definitely give it a try. there is go karts to rent and drive. there is a small boat you can ride as well across the lake for a price. the view and scenery here is a must see so much more than the mall itself. this is more of sight seeing on its own.

Fortress Al Jazeera Al Hamra

Reviewed By Kenneth W - Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

The Jazirat Al Hamra Old Town is pretty much a run-down, abandoned village. Legend has it that it's rife with jinns (genies?) which drove the previous residents out, and is a popular destination for youngsters to test their mettle and nerve by staying overnight in the ruins. The architecture is simple, and the bricks used to build this village are quite interesting as many seashells and corals were mixed into the brick. Wear comfortable shoes (covered shoes) that offer protection as you wander through the ruins, bring a large bottle of water, and a camera to document this area - I honestly don't think it will stay this way in the coming 2-3 years!
