Canobie Lake Park

Canobie Lake Park in Salem, New Hampshire has over 85 Rides, Games, Live Entertainment and Attractions, including our wild roller coaster, UNTAMED!

Reviewed By John D - Manchester, New Hampshire

Canobie is a nice example of an old fashioned park. It’s popular with locals and even crowded at times. Once you’ve seen Disney, six flags, or Universal, it’s tough to go but it’s cute; quaint really. It has boat rides on the lake and a tiny train running through the park. It has water rides and a decent coaster.

High 5 Ballooning

Excellent adventure from start to finish. When you take a flight with High 5 Ballooning, you will quickly get the impression that Tony Sica [owner and pilot] runs his business with one question in mind; “If a were a client, what would define the perfect flight experience for me? As it is with most things in life, it is the small things, the little details that matter, from a clearly enthusiastic pilot, to having the balloon chasers taking photographs from the ground along the way, to the nice picnic at the end in a nice, scenic area.

As a person who has flown in balloons many times over the years in different locales and varied conditions, Tony is at the top of the list. He will work with you to make your flight experience a memorable one. From my experience, there are two kinds of people who provide a good or service: Those who do their job and those who do their job well. Tony certainly fits the latter category and is the consummate professional from start to finish. Thanks, Tony <and Chase Crew>!

Zorvino Vineyards

My cousin Nick married Nicole this past Friday. The wedding took place at Zorvino's Vineyard in Sandown,NH. The grounds were very nice and of course decorated with all types of fall flowers and pumpkins etc. While they were taking pics we went to a wine tasting for $5. I'm not really into sweet wines but the Reisling and the Mano wines were very good. There was also one with tones and spicy. We had bacon wrapped scallops, steak teriyaki, stuffed mushrooms ans marinated chicken that were distributed by wait people. All were fantastic. There was a cheese, veggie, fruit and cracker buffet that would make you cry. It did me. I'm the Queen of Cheese and these past few weeks I've been abstaining to diet. Well I fell off the wagon. The Brie OMG and the hot spinach and artichoke dip❤️. For the main course I had the prime rib, cooked to perfection. My husband had the chicken with cranberry bread stuffing, what little there was. He said it was just ok. At the end of the night there was pizza which was also very good. The place itself is very nice for a wedding. Of course the bride and groom were the highlights of the night. Congratulations Zorvino's for making their day special.

We stopped here when we were in the Portsmouth area. The wines were excellent. During our tasting, the owners came up and said they were pressing grapes and asked if we wanted to watch. We were able to watch the pressing and get a wonderful explanation of what happens. The grounds were beautiful and scenic. The staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely a great stop.

My BFF had a Groupon so we decided to try this little gem. The people who run it are so nice and it is very cozy. The wines are good particularly the dry reds. What we loved was the big hunk of cheese and crackers as an accompaniment with the wine. We chatted, tasted and ate for a long time. They are very generous with their tastings. I was itching to bring home some organic eggs but they had run out. I highly recommend this winery but plan to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

America's Stonehenge

Formerly known as Mystery Hill, this unusual site contains many ancient rock structures "built" by humans.

Reviewed By Madoc040 - Greenville, South Carolina

Some people go to the beach while on vacation, others go to the mountains. I my preference is to visit historic sites. On a recent trip to New England I drove into southern New Hampshire in order to tour America's Stonehenge. Although not bearing any real resemblance to the Stonehenge in England, it is nonetheless a fascinating place to explore. There are ancient (?) stone walls and stone chambers, and even a horizontal stone 'table' believed to have been used for sacrificial purposes. Who built this place - the native Americans, the Vikings, the Phoenicians, the \Celts? Who knows? Half the fun of exploring the place is speculating on who might have been its creators. The place is run by a man named Dennis Stone, whom I had heard on a radio program a few months before my visit. Before I left I walked down to the entrance gate, which he was painting at the time, to briefly tell him that I had heard him on the radio and to tell him that I had enjoyed my visit. We ended up chit-chatting for the better part of two hours about the place and the hundreds of other megalithic sites that can be found throughout New England. America's Stonehenge is well worth a visit if you ever find yourself in southern new Hampshire or even in the Boston area. Also, before you leave, check out the alpacas that Stone keeps on the grounds.

We live about 10 minutes from ski bradford so it is very convenient. The price is could be better but if you factor in time and gas traveling further up north for beginners it is a no brainer. We went there this past Sunday and the parking lot was packed but the lift lines were very short since they had the T bar running as well as all three lifts. The staff are nice and it is a good place to learn how to ski or board.
