Igrexa de Santa Marina Dozo

The ruins look truly beautiful. I've visited it with my family on a rainy day and the scene is indescribable, with the old ruins and many tombs. I wouldn't bring kids there because they wouldn't understand the deep meaning within the mossy rocks and tombs. It gets better if you read the ruins' history while there.
Anyhow, worth for stopping by if you have anything to do nearby, otherwise the visit turns out to be too short. Also good if you seek silence and reflection.

Lovely attractive coastal town with lots of shops, bars and restaurants and while walking through the streets you find the imposing Plaza de Fefinans with its Church and fortified palace. This is a centre for buying some good wine of the region and a well known wine producer is situated on the square.
Good place to sit and while away a few moments with a drink.....
Some good car parking is located not too far away....but like any other coastal town in the Summer months can get busy.

Casa Historica de Cambados

Reviewed By c42105 - Madrid, Spain

This place is a (not particularly nice) old family house full of odd stuff. The visitors are offered a cookie and are guided through four rooms of the house. There's really nothing remarkable or worthy of attention in the house, just a series of uninteresting collections of shabby things, really: walking sticks, some note bills... It felt like visiting the house of a recently deceased old crazy aunt. The guides (and owners) are very friendly but their comments are mostly dull statements pointing out the obvious. It was embarrassing listening to such a badly told and incoherent story. At the end of the visit, you're kindly asked to give a donation. My advice: Don't go.
Having said this, the house has a small garden, which can only be seen from the back street, which is worth seeing for a picture.

The winery tour and wine tasting at Martin Codax for our group of nine Aussies was simply worlds best practice. Our guide Maria delivered a first rate education on the wines of her area, but it was her passion for her job and this amazing...MoreDear friend, thank you so much for all your comments. It's an honor for us to know that you all have enjoyed so much our winery tour and tasting! You're more than welcome back if you ever visit Galicia again!

The tower is a short walk along the seafront, and is probably worth the effort. It isn't very tall or impressive, but it will do you good to get away from the tapas bars! It is situated on a little island accessible by a bridge. The island is quite cute with a beach, but there is too much seaweed for swimming. I spend a pleasant couple of hours watching fish jumping out of the water.

The Rias Baixas area of Spain is know for its predominant grape, Albarino (Al-bar-een-yo). Bodegas del Palacio de Fefinanes is located on Cambados' Plaza de Fefinanes, just a minute's walk from Hotel Real Ribodomar. We were hosted by Carmen, who was kind enough to show us the small winery and some of the vineyard area outside. Really enjoyed the wines! Stop in and have a taste..... Enjoy!

Reviewed By YolandeaW - Saint Louis, Missouri, United States

If you have the ability to visit one bodega, then this bodega should be on the list. We were lucky to get a tour of the manner the vine yards and a forest in this beautiful town the hostess with her mother were marvelous. The flowers on the table gorgeous. Emile spoke of Spain and the wine lesson was perfect. One will learn why the one glass should never be filled to the brim. I am glad this was a part of our trip.
