Jon is a great host. He is always so fun to meet and he tries to give you all the information you need regarding his stones and reindeer horns.
His shop is small but filled with great handcrafted gifts for every one.
Looking forward to go to Djúpivogur again.

Papeyjarferdir

We stopped at Djupivogur while driving the ring road and happened to fall on this amazing guided tour. We were there on a gorgeous sunny day. The guide was very knowledgeable and helped us get very close to puffins by crawling close to them. We got amazing pictures of them. He also shared with us the fascinating story of the family who used to live on the island.

What else is there to say. They are rocks shaped and polished to look like eggs, if you are driving by stop for a crazy photo op, if you are driving to see them well don't know what to really say about that.
the Good: yep they carved rocks to look like eggs
the Bad: they are rocks that are carved to look like eggs
The Ugly: a long row of rock carved eggs
On the scuba bubble scale of 1 to 10 bubbles I give this attraction 5 bubbles

If you are travelling from northern Iceland to Reiquejavique using the Ring Road (main icelandic road - Number 1) , near the Berufjord, you will see this beautiful mountain that extends straight from the coast line. Don't miss the sight!
Just be careful with the road!...the worst you can imagine!

Bakkabud

Bakkabud is a small and unique shop in Djupivogur Iceland. At the store you can buy Icelandic design and handcraft from local artists. As well we have Scandinavian design brands and Souvenirs from Iceland.

Stopped by at this shop in the amazing fisherman village Djupivogur. My wife was searching for gifts for her parents and found jam made of berries from the local area. Prices are really good. The store is something different and I even found antiques there. The owners told me everything about the antiques they have gathered over the years and are now selling some of their collection in the shop.

Arfleifd is the maker of the most unique leather items, one of a kind, a true Icelandic souvenir.
We went to their main showroom in Djupivogur, enroute from Egilstadir to Hofn, and found a large selection of one-of-a-kind handbags, my favorite was made of reindeer leather with a design of fish skins - catfish, salmon, cod and perch. Djupivogur is also a pleasant small fishing port town.

The Bulandsnes

Reviewed By Gerrit0001 - Harderwijk, Gelderland, Netherlands

Djupivogur Swimming Pool and Sports Centre

Reviewed By isomet - Stockholm, Sweden

Djupivogur is a small town with basically no attractions. We were happy to find the swimming pool facility (which was not even on TripAdvisor). The entrance fee is of a symbolic sum and offers basic storage of valuables. For kids there are toys and floating devices provided and a small shallow geothermal heated pool.
An excellent facility to make use of while stopping by in Djupivogur. We were very satisfied with our visit.
