Every summer Tuesday evening at 6 there is a yoga session on the bridge. It is gorgeous there, quiet and peaceful with the sound of the river passing beneath you. Often there are swimmers nearby but it's a happy summer sound. The instructor who leads the class is attentive to the mix crowd that attends and overall the session is relaxing. The bridge is still open throughout the yoga session but there is room for people to pass. It's all done in a very respectful way..a great use of the bridge. There is a small charge but it's a fundraiser for ECE developments in South America.

Located near the picturesque village of Wakefield, 30 minutes from Ottawa-Gatineau, you will discover beaver habitat while browsing a water maze (aboard a pedal boat or canoe) spread out over 6 km. We also have walking adventures (maze and walk in the wood).
What a fun way to start your vacation at a peaceful serene place!! You can enjoy viewing birds with your family. No experience needed to paddle. Instructions will look confusing at first but will make sense when you paddle. Stay as long as you want....MoreThanks for your comment! We are glad that you enjoy your adventure at Eco-Odyssée.

We choose to drive the extra 15 mins to go to Edelweiss for several simple reasons. Shorter lines, more chalet room, and usually more affordable. Our girls learned to ski at Edelweiss, skied Nancy Green, and we have had family passes there for the last four years. There are also great learn to ski packages for kids.

Good time spending a few hours night skiing for a cheap price, buy tix online the day before, nice to see snow in the woods coming from the bare Adks!

In a beautiful house that has lived through a lot, it's a great place to learn more about the history of the Gatineau Valley. Very interesting exhibits, for kids and adults alike. Take the tour if you have time, or just walk around as you like. Entry is by donation (they suggest $5 but its up to you). Really enjoyed the model train and dress up clothes!

Nicely laid out golf course and quite enjoyed it until the rain started. Most clubs offer a rain-check of sorts but, last time we were there (the review choices only allowed me to go back one year but, we were last there in July 2011), the rains came in heavy at the 6th hole with thunder and lightning. By the way, the probability of precipitation that day was only 20% without a storm so the storm that came in was a surprise. When we came into the clubhouse we were told no rain-checks...have never been back and never will go back.
