Coral Beach

Reviewed By Mark D - Penang Island, Malaysia

If one like walking on Pristine, clean, sandy Beaches this definitely "fills the bill"!! While the "Caribbean style" beach is about 500 yards/meters long, it is also tree lined [provides enough shade] and the offshore island limits "strong" wave activity! There are also food stalls and local restaurants and convenience stores nearby should one be thirsty and/or hungry!
Its a most memorable beach!!

Foo Lin Kong Temple

Reviewed By Dawn A - Birmingham, United Kingdom

This temple is in a lovely position at the end of Coral Beach. You can walk along the beach or follow the track from the road to access the Temple. Slightly faded Disneyesque characters in cement with paths and steps up to the traditional Temple at the top. Nice place to sit and watch monkeys.

Pangkor Island

Reviewed By Mark D - Penang Island, Malaysia

Pangkor Island can be easily reached by ferry [running every 30 minutes] from Lumut, Perak [which accessible by inexpensive buses (less than $10) from Kuala Lumpur and Penang]. What struck us immediately was the absence of disposed bottles and paper! Our favourite place is Nipah Beach-- because of the lovely Beaches, peacefulness, food stalls and restaurants. It is on the NW side of the Island and asy to reach from the ZFerry terminal!!.

Dutch Fort (Kota Belanda)

Reviewed By Eva H

This place is good to stop by for few minutes when you are travelling around the Pangkor island (e.g.on motorbike). The fortress itself is not a real fortress anymore, just a preserved small ruin with nicely maintained surrounding. which is situated not directly at the coast (it is on the other side of the road). Despite that you can still see the sea from it (at least a little bit). There is also a canoon or two in the front square. On the right side there is a small souvenir shop.
