Lae Bowling Club

We went there on a Saturday night. It is a nice club. The night we went there, was live music. It is a good place to dance and have a good time. Like most other clubs in PNG you have to be aware of the consumption of alcohol. So, Lae Bownling Club is no different. It is very positive, that there is a high presence of security personnel which knows how to deal with drunken.

The food in the cafe is very good. I suggest the Tony's Baby Back Pork Ribs. They are awesome. The cakes are very good too. Only problem here is they do not sell coke. If you are a spirit drinker like rum, bourbon or scotch, you have to have it with Pepsi which is aweful! The rooms are well appointed but I have never stayed here.

The new menus are excellent. Now offer a better range and choice. Service impeccable. The Friday night seafood buffet is not to be missed. Would like to see silver service used and at least a couple of local items on the menu though.

Bunga Raya Restaurant

BungaRaya Restaurant was established in 2007. It has been almost 10 years in operation. Bungaraya as the name means national flower that is hibiscus the national flower of Malaysia. Our partners tried to bring authentic Malaysian chinese cuisine at that time into Lae. It was one of the first restaurants in lae. It is also named after a street in Melaka(Malaysia). THe owners anscestors had their first restuarant named Guan Fong Yen on that street. BungaRaya has lots of menu to wet your taste buds!!

But in Lae, there's little else to choose from. There's really nothing positive to say about thi joint but that things can only get better. It's location makes it prime for "up market" customers but it appears the owners just aren't interested in investing in...MoreWe will try to improve out menu.

zaffaran Restaurant

It was quiet, it is a new centre and is developing. The café is really an Indian restaurant in disguise and really delivers with some very impressive food. But Ignore the details as you enter the centre on the menu boards it doesn't have a toasted Sandwich but it pokura's and somosa's are amazing and worth the trip alone. Manager very pleasant but needs to hang back. I thought I has a PNG food victory when we ate here
