An open-air museum "Staro selo" (the Old Village) in Sirogojno portrays the traditional village architecture of the Zlatibor region. All facilities and household objects are authentic. In the museum workshops copies of museum exhibits are manufactured and also, the skill of potters, carpenters and other artisans is manifested.

Nature Park Mokra Gora

Reviewed By Linda K - Riga, Latvia

Train ride costs ~5 EUR and it takes 2h15 min, therefore real bargain! However it is not very interesting as there are many tunnels and trees. Please also be aware that road from Serbia side was closed in August 2017 as one bridge was under construction. So you either have to use parallel road under the bridge (very unsafe and narrow, use only if you are driving a jeep) or you have to use other way (+50 km). We did not have time, so were not able to go around but used road under the bridge. We saw 3 broken cars after the road... While we were on that road one bus was coming towards us. Good luck that bus go back and gave us road otherwise we would probably fall from the cliff... Better plan your time accordingly and use alternative route!

Mecavnik

Reviewed By IgorMarkovic - Smederevo, Serbia

Apart from the amazing natural scenery of the surrounding Mountains, the Mećavnik complex offers just more than a small town complex with restaurants, museum and interesting local architecture. If you're near the Mećavnik, don't miss to visit this interesting place, created by famous film director Emir Kusturica, but don't expect too much. Be aware of the high prices in its facilities.

Uzice's National Museum

Behind the museum in underground tunnels where was an ex ammunition factory. This factory was producing bullets for Partisans during the period of "Uzicka Republika" first liberated area in World War 2. Tunnels was originally made to keep the national gold when war started. Because Tito was lieder of Uzicka Republika and this was his first country, he gave to Uzice name Titovo Uzice. His huge statue was on public square but when war started local authorities moved statue behind museum. Quite interesting and unusual museum that is worth to see.

Mountain Tornik

Reviewed By tcresidentTc - TC

A decent little place to ski. Beware, the slopes are not so challenging and the staff is poor, all around, especially the lift operators. Most of the time they are sitting smoking in the service houses just watching people fall and struggle with the t-bars and such. Kids will enjoy, but if they have some experience, they will likely get bored after a day or two. Very good prices and affordable for all, with decent equipment and ski school options.

Kustendorf

Reviewed By topicdaliborka - Geneva, Switzerland

We visited this village for the first time in July while staying in Zlatibor. We spent one whole day there, walking old paths of the Drvengrad/Kustendorf village, speaking with visitors and with people working there. It is very nice location and the village is so well organized that you wish to stay there for ever! We also enjoyed local food (definitely try home made beans). If you have more time, you can also book your stay in advance as some of the houses can be rented. Everything is so well equiped and you will have a feeling that every detail is carefully selected. For those staying, there is also spa with a big interior swimmingpool and gym. For sure you will be able to enjoy it also if coming during the winter as there are some sky routes near by (Sky resort IVER and Mountain house Mladost are some 7.5 km fromt the village). As there may be lots of turists, it is probably good to book your accommodation in advance (www.mecavnik.info, e-mail: [email protected]
You will love this place.

Gostilje Waterfall

Reviewed By TarrynAdamsKihler09 - Dubai, United Arab Emirates

The waterfall is a DEFINITE must-see when visiting Zlatibor - absolutely beautiful.
However, do brace yourself for the drive on the narrow mountain road which can get a bit nerve wrecking at times but the views on the way up are stunning (if you're not the driver of course).
As you leave the waterfall, there is a restaurant just to the left of the entrance which overlooks the swimming pool - thier service and food here is great and comes highly recommended by locals. They make the most amazing Komplet Lepinja!
