Excellent ice cream made from milk from one of the few local milk producers left in the area. First class ice cream covering a range of traditional and surprise flavours ( Christmas Pudding!).
The price is not cheap, but this is at the upper end of quality and if you like real ice cream with a definite ethical background you cannot beat this product.
You can also buy it straight from source on the farm. And it is a product that can be licked!
Can't get fresher than that

The botanical a Gardens were a welcome diversion when we had a family member in the nearby hospital. We saw them covered in snow and a few days later, with the spring bulbs starting to flower, particularly the snowdrops. The greenhouse was well looked after with a good range of plants from around the world. It was lovely to see a protea in flower so far away from home (Cape Town)

National Emergency Services Museum

The National Emergency Services Museum is located in one of Yorkshires first purpose built combined Police, Fire and Ambulance Stations in the centre of Steel City, Sheffield.Opened in 1983 with just 2 Fire Engines and a few small exhibits and only 2 of the buildings 46 rooms open for the public to view the museum has grown and grown year by year. Now with thousands of exhibits and 26 exhibition areas, around 45 vehicles on display and not forgetting many more exhibits and vehicles currently in storage ready to be displayed we are still developing. The Museum is a Registered Charity and does not receive any major funding. Everything that you see here at the museum has been achieved by donations and your entry fee's.We are always working to update the museum and make the museum more hands-on and interactive for visitors!

Reviewed By James A

The National Emergency Services Museum is housed in a Victorian police & fire station building, located on the outskirts of Sheffield city centre. It is quite easy to find, prominently located on a roundabout, and there is paid parking just across the road. Entry is around £7 each - £7 for over 60s and students, £8 for adults (16+) and £6 for kids (3-15). 999 staff go free with ID.
The museum isn't a huge place, but there's three floors and plenty to see. The ground floor has a police cells and lots of vehicles, a few of which are open to get in and explore; the upper two floors have some great interactive exhibits for the kids to climb on and play with. When we were there there was a fire engine doing rides around the block for a small price (£1 each I think), which was well worth it.
The exhibits are a good combination of big shiny vehicles to climb on and plenty of information about them for the grown-ups, so everyone was engaged for about 3 hours, and the staff were friendly and very good with children.
The only let down for me was the café, which didn't have much choice; although there are a few places in the city centre you can eat if you want something more substantial.
Overall, it's a good place - well worth a visit if you're in the area.

As the kids get older the farmyard has less of a draw and the same goes for the playground. We always enjoy the walk around the park, ponds and woods. Downsides are the big patch of very wet grass in between the farm yard and the playground and the cafe is always really busy

It was alot better than some of the so called posh wedding venues in the area congratulations to all involved
