I couldn't find my way out of CDG, at least not easily. The airport obviously had a redesign, and the redesigned passenger flow requires people to walk, counter-intuitively, pretty far in one direction before exiting, and going back the other direction.
I got some help from some CDG airport folks. Nice.

Parc du Cedre

This is a pretty park in the village just besides the row of airport hotels. The rest of the village is on the other side.
The park has a sculpture called Metalithe and a section of the landing gear of a Concorde placed there in memory of the one that crashed nearby.
I went for a walk around the park around sunset and an even nicer walk just before sunrise the next morning. In the morning it was very quiet and there were lots of birds chirping and wild hare running around in the bushes.

It's a beautiful church. Really pretty from the outside set in gorgeous grounds.
There's a quaint little cemetery you can visit too.
It was a lovely sunny day as just the perfect time to go see all this history.
If you're staying at an airport hotel I can highly recommend you take time out to visit here

Being married to a pilot aviation is in our blood.
We miss Concorde being in our skies so we wanted to see these items.
It's a shame people have tried to break in and steal these things as the public has a right to see them.
Worth a visit should you be staying in Roissy

They were very helpful with getting us on the correct RER to get to Les Halles station. Not only did he explain how to get there, he also made valuable suggestions buying tickets which made traveling in Paris very easy. With Google maps as our guide, we figured out the right metro/bus/RER and just had to get our ticket stamped. Beware, they do random scans at the stations and charge €50 if you don't have your ticket. He even got us our return ticket back to the CDG ready, which made our return trip stress free. We even got our museum pass which help is avoid ALL the lines, especially at the Louvre and Versailles is also included in the pass. So if you go the the info desk, say hi to Michelson for me...he was very helpful and patient!

Inside L’orangerie, there is always something going on, exhibits of paintings pr sculptures, always a good things. Unfortunately, Sunday they are closed, and there are so many tourists that are available that day, on small short layover, changing flights, ….

Porte Sud

Reviewed By percyvakil - Mumbai, India

Porte Sud, or South gate is in the Parc de la Mairie. As the name suggests it is the South gate, but of what ? I was trying to get information, I gather it's the remains of probably a fortified wall around some sort of settlement. Next time I'll try and ask if there's an information service nearby.
The stone structure itself is nice to look at, it's a piece of the town's history. There are remains of two such structures close to each other in the park.
