This is a private club but numerous membership categories available for all budgets. The course seems friendly, which it is, but the greens can be mystifying! They keep it in excellent condition year round. The clubhouse is not fancy .... It is friendly. There are always groups to join for a competitive round of golf - both men and women of all ages. We have excellent professional instructors including an LPGA pro. Kids are always welcome to use the facilities for practice and to learn the game! Food is good, there is s full bar and prices are very reasonable! Proud to be a member here!

Alafia River State Park

I camped here recently during an event hosting over a thousand people and ran various trails typically used by mountain bike riders and equine enthusiasts. The trails ranged from easy paths through fields, to twisty single track through scrub and tough trails through swamps. I loved the feel of this park and being off the grid. I didn't spend much time at the entrance area where there are bathrooms and didn't pay much attention to what else was available to people because I was too busy enjoying my workout and run through a variety of habitats. I didn't see much wildlife but the storms probably helped with that. I'm sure there is a lot to see when the weather is more ideal. Beautiful sunset! I will go back soon!

Spent a few hours here while on our way from Orlando to the Tampa area. Our family loves all things dinosaurs so we were looking forward to visiting this park. Some of the statues and displays need a little work but overall it was a pleasant walk around to see the different dinosaurs in the natural landscapes. It's pretty well shaded thanks to some tall trees and the boardwalk meanders all over the park. We went to a paleontologist talk, which was neat and our kids did the fossil dig and each took home some shark teeth! The museum has lots of bones and fossils which was cool- their animatronic dinos are also in the museum. There are only 4, so it's a little underwhelming but kids will enjoy it! There's no food onsite, other than a couple of vending machines, but lots of picnic tables if you wanted to bring your own. Overall, if your kids like dinosaurs it's definitely worth a visit!

Bloomingdale Golfers Club

Meandering through a natural setting of 100-year-old oaks, stately pines and shimmering ponds, this 18-hole championship design has been consistently ranked among Florida's top 10 golf courses.

Reviewed By James A W - Tampa, United States

If you are expecting a championship course you are not going to find it here. But for the "average" golfer...not so bad. The course gets a bit rougher in the summer but today (November) the fairways were pretty good and the greens OK. Some of the greens had patches of blight but overall they were pretty fast. Most holes are pretty easy but number 9 and 18 will test your skills.
If you just want a day to play golf at a mid-range course, this course will do just fine. If you want to spend $120.00..play the Doral.

I was excited to checkout the new theater that just opened up near my house, so when the movie "Girls Trip" came out I figured this would be the perfect opportunity. I loved that I was able to pick my own seats. Initially I was concerned about not being able to see because someone was sitting in the row in front of me (short people problems lol) but the rep assured me that the way the seating is set up it wouldn't be a problem. When I walked into the theater I quickly found out how right she was and not only was I able to see but she forgot to mention how comfortable the seats were. They even recline back!!! I will definitely be making a trip back the next time there is a movie that catches my eye.

Our Bed and Breakfast had a flyer for the R & R Ranch for trails rides. They were very nice people, with lots of different animals (including a skunk) to see. They first get you practicing with the horses in their riding area and then take you out into a nature preserve for an easy trail ride. There's nothing fancy about the place, but they are really nice and this makes a great place to spend a few hours.

Edward Medard Regional Park

The Edward Medard Park is tucked away in eastern Hillsborough County between Brandon and Plant City. The Park extends along 1,284 acres where a dike, control structure and reservoir offer some flood protection along the Alafia River. In 1972, under an agreement with the District, Hillsborough County developed this site as one of its largest and most popular regional parks, visited yearly by more than 400,000 people.

Price to enter is only $2.00 per automobile and you enter a very well maintained park with many trails, picnic areas, lake access, and jutting old mine scrapings that have live oak trees growing on them. Children playing everywhere. We saw alligators, turtles, fish, birds, and listened and saw many different kinds of bird species. This park was a wonderful experience for us this Sunday.
