I have been there multiple times. the butterfly gardens are gorgeous, and the gardens are immense. there's a stream on the property, but its not super pretty looking. but the pond is where is like to go, just to sit down and watch the ducks, it's so relaxing.

I live very near the Woodland Sanctuary and besides its beauty and wonderful wildlife and vegetation, the people are gracious and caring. Thanks to the proximity, I get to go there frequently. Even when I don't thanks to being close I see the most wonderful array of birds and butterflies in my back yard. I urge everyone to support its goals and projects.

It's really too bad. Very comfortable seating with the recliner seats. The problem is that the staff is so incompetent and rude that I'll never go back there. I asked for tickets for a particular movie, and they gave me tickets for a different movie. When I brought it to their attention they didn't even apologize. They acted like I was trying to rip THEM off! They finally gave me my money back, but I never got to see my movie. Another time I asked for a ticket for a show at one particular time but they gave me a ticket for a different time that the movie was showing. What are they smoking?

Have attended numerous events at Strathmore and all were delightful. Convenient parking close by, inside acoustics are very good, they offer a wide range of events, snacks/drinks are lovely, and in summer the outdoor concerts are fun.

iPic presents our guests with a unique movie experience where they can relax and escape with great comfort, hospitality and amenities.
We wanted to see a limited release film so we travelled to this theatre - about 35 minutes away. The only seating available was in the first or second row. I was concerned, but it was fine. Great chairs, decent restroom.

If you like gardens, woods, nighttime light adventures, nature and butterflies, a visit to Brookside Gardens welcomes all ages of folks every season of the year. There is a pathway for walkers or wheelchairs, there's a children's garden, a most wonderful fregrence garden, a rose garden, a gazebo overlooking a pond, a pathway around a lake and through the woods and scheduled activities to numerous to list. This magical place is a part of Wheaton Regional Park. It's free and there's plenty of parking.

A series of intriguing antique stores.
Plan at least 4 hours to see some of the shops. There are specialty shops (clocks, China, etc.) as well as many with a hodgepodge of variety. Price points range from 50 cents to the sky. I find that many times this is better shopping than a flea market and I often notice numerous buyers from outside the DC area regularly shopping for "finds". This is a place to return to over & over again.

This is a great place to drop in to learn more about the area. I found this place when I wanted to learn more about the trails and appreciated the map. Also a good place to start your forest hike ... they have clean restrooms!

There is lots of playground equipment, but the highlight is the train ride. You may have to wait, but it's worth it. The playground is divided into different areas for different age groups. The only problem with the park is that it is so good that it is very crowded, especially on weekends. Enjoy!
