Brandenburg Cathedral is ancient in its origins, though restored and expanded over the centuries. Its current incarnation dates to the 1960s, as explained in one of various informative displays. Admission to the Cathedral is free, though the museum within is 5 Euros per person to enter. Donations are suggested, but certainly not compulsory. A visually stunning building, within easy reach of the city centre by bus or on foot. Very much recommended.

I'm frequently the Eastern Germany to have a walk in the footprints of the former GDR. The Industriemuseum was really worth the while.
This museum is amazing. Really quite the hidden gem. You leave with a clear feeling of how it was to work at the plant back in the days.
So any travellers with similar fetiches as me who want to experience the former GDR - Don't miss out on this place.

From the outside a fairly typical brick-built local church, but the interior is simply stunning. Medieval tapestries, carved wood in abundance and a fascinating history. We had a moving conversation (in German) with the attending steward who explained how hard it had been to maintain the church and worship there in the Communist era. Free guides and other material are available, but only in German. Pay your 1 Euro and go up to the top of the church's tower for superb views over the city. Well worth an hour of your time.

The Sankt Katharinenkirche (St. Catherine's Church) is an impressive example of northern German late-Gothic architecture. It was built from brick in 1401.
Inside the church, there are beautifully decorated ceiling and brick red pillars . Outlook, the old and molted brick walls, associated with green leaves, are so peaceful and charming.
I lingered around for half an hour to take in the gorgeous sights around the church.
