My friend Miguel and I went as I was staying in Pombal for the night. It came highly recommended by the hotel and it is located in the heart of the old town.
I ordered lamb chops (lamb ribs on the menu) and while we waited had a chance to listen to some Fado as an ensemble had been brought in for that night.
We had the usual assortment of Portuguese appetizers and then the main course. The lamb chops were grilled to perfection and the potatoes were delicious. There was a green vegetable which I think is unique to Portugal. It tastes like spinach, but looks like kale.
Overall a very good meal and a good choice if you are in Pombal.

Located in a former tannery it evolved from simple tavern to a large restaurant. Generations have changed but kept the art of cooking and the main strongholds that continue to attract diners: Stone Soup and Oven Baked Goat. In familiar surrounding you can find other specialties: Cod in the Oven, Pork Cheeks and the “Couvada”, a delicious mix of cabbage, bread, garlic and olive oil. Several kebabs (squid, prawns, beef and pig) are greatly appreciated.
Having been a place where furs have been prepared (O Peleiro) the place turned into a very good restaurant with very good food and an excellent choice of wine.Also the appetizers are always very tasty and of course the "Sopa da Pedra" -Stone soup,which is a heavy beansoup with all parts of pork meat.May be in between some hot Shrimps with some garlic sauce and you roll out the restaurant fully satified.

Very large, well known traditional roadside restaurant. Total Seating for 600 people possible. A rustic / simple restaurant side and a more luxurious restaurant side. Today we used the "rustic" side. Both sides completely full. People were queing up to be seated and many had a long wait ahead. No all inclusive menus. Everything is added separately.
Excellent quality snacks like Bolinhos de Bacalhau and Chamucas (samosas), together with meat / fish options from a very limited menu. Good quality house wine and delicious Leite Creme dessert. The much praised Tomato rice however is in my opinion nothing special. It is more like a wet rice / tomato soup like dish and not really paying 2 euros pp for although you can have as much as you like. Some items have a reasonable price but some items are for Portuguese standards very expensive like 3.50 euros for a small dessert and 3.50 for a small simple salad. As already mentioned, the food quality is very good but prices fairly high hence my total verdict of "Average".

Era domingo por la tarde y habían varias mesas viendo un partido de la Liga Portuguesa. Le pedí la contraseña de wifi para ver el partido de la Liga española y el propietario en voz alta dijo que había un señor español que queria ver la liga española. Todos asintieron, quitaron el partido que estaban viendo y vimos el de la Liga española.

Malga recentemente ristrutturata, al centro di un enorme prato e con un piccolo pascolo di lama e alpaca; giochi per i bambini e moltissime sdraio per rilassarsi al sole. Oltre a ciò, ombrelloni e tavoli esterni per godere di una pausa pranzo in totale tranquillità con i piatti tipici della cucina alto atesina in porzioni davvero abbondanti ad un buon prezzo. Ambiente pulitissimo e curato. Si raggiunge in meno di un'ora da Ega o Obereggen, oppure dal Lago di Carezza con una passeggiata più lunga (due ore) ma tutta in piano.

We came across the restaurant by chance but were attracted by the menu and the number of regular patrons. The menu is great featuring a range of local dishes which was perfectly complemented by the local house wine served in a terracotta jug.
Really superb value.

This little restaurant serves amazing food.
I've been a client for years now, and every time I'm around I have to go, with friends and or family.
Food is like home made, the menu offers a good variety of meat and fish dishes which are served with class and elegance.
Quality of food is amazing and staff is super friendly.
Slightly higher in price, but totally worth it.

We visited on a Monday evening when all the other restaurants in Condeixa were closed. When we arrived we were the only people in the restaurant. We were treated like family and had a delicious selection of appetizers, followed by a mixture of the main dishes such as traditional cod (Bacalhau), "Dorado" (gilthead bream), black pork and beef. The food was all delicious and served with lovely sides of green beans salad and and potato crisps. We had several pitchers of delicious red wine as well. We were so full we couldn't fit in desert but finished with coffee and they gave us a delicious local liquor as a "digestive". The coffee was also excellent and not too bitter. All in all the meal cost €57 which for 4 people we found to be very reasonable! We gave a generous tip for excellent service. Don't be put off by the modern slightly clinical look of the place, if you eat here you will not be disappointed!

Vi no Tripadvisor "agora aberto" e fiz uma data de quilómetros para encontrar o restaurante fechado. Alguém errou... e eu é que fiquei a perder com a história, não é coisa que se faça! É caso para dizer "Organizem-se!!!!" A Avaliação é negativa por esta razão.
