We had the sliced beef dish with rucola. Tender meat, but not cooked as ordered: medium was well done and medium rare was medium. Not a very outspoken taste. Friendly staff and nice bread (2 baskets). Also the cookies from the house were nice. We would not go back.

Run by the Poli family since 1965, owes its name to the times that frame the entire room. We had such a nice meal our second eve in Riva we cancelled other Reservations to return and boy were we glad we did. Another family run and owned place makes a difference. In fact one of the wait still is working here because his girlfriend is a grand daughter. The cellar restaurant decor is white wash with crocheted red place mats and red glasses. But the food makes the place. We had shrimp salad and carpaccio of cod for antipasti; spaghetti with cheese and truffles, a fish ragout on spaghetti and scallop linguine. Fish was alpine trout, tuna and meats were veal and lamb. The servers were great, the sommelier guided us to wonderful local wine and grappa. And then the fruit sorbets brought to the table were amazing. If you are in a Riva, don't eat any where else but In this rwhite and red palace.

"La Berlera" focus on typical local recipes offering high quality dishes served on a fantastic location.
This was a really outstanding dining experience - seated outside on a warm evening, overlooking the northern part of the Lago di Garda, we enjoyed a modern and innovative interpretation of traditional local Trentino cuisine. I could not start recommending any dish, as they were all excellent - meat seems to be their specialty. Desserts were unbelievable as well, up to the colour combination of food and bowl.
Very helpful and friendly staff that can explain the food in english as well as italian.
The place itself has an interesting history, told on the menu. Make sure to reserve a table beforehand. Google maps was a good help in finding it, otherwise it might be a little difficult.

With its the Austro-Hungarian heritage it is easy to see why RDG is home to this Germanic themed restaurant. Although a welcome break from pizza and pasta, I felt that the staff were a little cold for my liking but the food, drinks and Location were spot on.

The "amuse bouche" was excellent.
All of us had different starters, all of them very good!
Kids then had the Filet Steak cooked outside on the wood fire grill. Lovely and tender. My wife and I had the Fiorentina Steak which was good, but could have been a bit more tender.
Concerning wine, we asked the waiter to recommend a white and a red white which he did great! This at very good prices!
Overall a very nice experience in a nice location.

This elegant restaurant is located in the bow of the ship-like structure pointing towards the lake and features an exclusive candle-lit Terrace. This is the place for an intimate dinner of exquisitely rendered haute cuisine, in magical designer surroundings with backlit views of the grounds. Executive Chef Giuseppe Sestito orients the menu towards sea and lake fish accompanied by a selection of memorable wines. A truly gourmet experience.
We had an excellent first evening meal in Riva. The dishes were inventive--especially liked the fish entrees. The wine list is extensive, albeit pricey.
The staff were very attentive providing great service throughout the evening. I would highly recommend for at least one evening in Riva.

Restaurant and winery 'Restel de Fer', founded and run by the Family Meneghelli for more than 50 years. Here you will find fresh homemade pasta, Gardalake fish, quality meat, cold cuts and local cheeses, fruit and vegetables in season. You can also enjoy selected Italian wines.
Found this place on TripAdvisor and thought we would give it a go. We most certainly weren't disappointed. We had 3 courses each and each course was very well presented and tasted fantastic.
The maître d / Sommelier was brilliant, we asked him to serve a wine that would suit the dish we were eating and he not only chose the wine but followed it with a detailed description of the vineyard.
This was far above what is expected when going out for a meal but was brilliantly done. We finished the evening of with a little tour of the house and an impressive story about the property and the family history.
Highly recommend if you want a great evenings experience as it's far more than just a simple meal.

We were very happy with our dinner...everything we tasted was good. Wine prices good along with the selections.
I had fish with almonds which was cooked perfectly and tasted very good. The pasta with shrimp I tasted was delicious. Loved the black truffle ice cream.
Overall a very good meal and we will be back.

We believe that using what the Nature gives us, respecting its times and ways, is the best path to invigorate the traditional cooking, especially that from Trentino. Today, like as never before, we need to go back to the past, to revalue fragrances and flavours derived from the raw materials' genuineness. The chef Luca Cattoni, thanks to his skills, creativity and the tradition, will be able to knead and create dishes like the ones of our grandmothers that bring us back to our childhood, when we saw them busy around the house fire. The fulfillment of this project started from an accurate research which allowed us to select the best farms, Ranches and cellars that guarantee us ideal and perfect products for our menu. We sincerely hope our working methods to be successful to offer you something that doesn't want to be a discovery, but a rediscovery. For you and for us.
Went here based on its rating on trip advisor. When we got there they asked if we'd booked,which we hadn't, but they managed to fit us in. When we looked at the menu we weren't sure there was anything we liked, but as they'd fitted us in felt obliged to stay. There wasn't any English translation but the waitress tried her best to explain things with her limited English. My husband and I don't eat meat, so we chose 2 fish starters rather than a starter and a main. We weren't sure what we would get and if it would be enough. We needn't have worried the food was really different and delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you want something special, but not really for vegetarians as mainly meat dishes

Our restaurant opened in April 2015 under new management and we would like to introduce ourselves to the community. We are family passionate about delicious, healthful food, excellent service, and overall about creating memorable shared experiences around the table. Brothers Gigi and Carmine Mandico serve as Chef and Maitre'd offering guests a taste of the Mediterranean and Dolomite culinary traditions combined. Menus are seasonal, reflecting what is local and freshest. Father Michele joins Gigi in the kitchen, mother, Anna, also collaborate in the restaurant to carefully look after each of our our guests. We have an extensive wine list with options for every budget and spanning all regions of Italy, with an emphasis on local grapes, wineries and less well-known Italian wines. It is possible to purchase wine, as well, for take away, from our cantina. We hope to see you soon!
What a great overall dining experience. We've had hundreds of meals in Europe and Italy and this may have been at the top. First the service is impeccable-- attentive, friendly, without unnecessary retention. We really enjoyed their suggestions and information with each course.
The presentation of the food is a standout. For example, the creme brûlée dessert with the chocolate cigar, ashes (sugar) creme brûlée, shot of brandy, and a rosemary sorbet was both amusing and delicious. I had the sea bass as a main entree-- cooked perfectly with a nice display of vegetables. The starter of bruschetta was the most creative I have seen and also tasted great.
Unlike another high end restaurant in Riva del Garda, the wine list at Antiche Mura had an excellent variety of wines priced from modest to expensive.
I can see why the restaurant is highly rated, but I can't imagine that there are any better in this region.
