Don't even think this place isn't worth the drive for a second. This is THE breakfast joint in Middleville where everyone knows your name. If they don't, they want to.
Friendly staff, cozy seating and the best omelette I've ever had the pleasure of eating. The bread is baked on premise each morning and the coffee is
It's small and you'll wait if you hit their peak hours but it's worth every minute.
Breakfast all day Saturday and Sunday.
Quit messing around and get here. You'll love it.

My husband and I frequent The Sand Bar. We've tried almost every burger and they've all been great! Taco salad is one of my faves. Sometimes we invite friends and they always have a good time as well!

Was in Caledonia and wanted to try something different in the area. Looked at the rankings and found Riverdog. Great find. Had the Briskit and gravy and it was very good. My wife had the chicken salad sandwich with loaded tater tots and she enjoyed both. Reasonable and nice decor made it a great experience.

They were short handed for delivery drivers, but I opted for delivery anyway. The pizzas showed up right on time for what was promised, hot and fresh. I ordered the regular crust 2 pizza deal and the pizza's came well topped, not sparingly topped like some places. Well seasoned as well, not a plain tomato sauce! We'll eat here again!

We went for breakfast with another couple and the place was jammed at 8:45 AM. The service here is friendly but not great as they always seem to be shorthanded. They do keep up with coffee refills however (thank you!!!) The menu is limited but with good choices...we like their breakfast offerings and the pancakes are good!
Every time we go there in the morning the bakery case is almost empty so either they don't bake enough or they hide it ;-) I really would like to take some cinnamon rolls or muffins home some time!
The eggs are good, the bacon was perfect....the coffee was good and my cup never got less than half full.
Parking is tough as they have a small lot but you can park out back.
Gun Lake could use a few more good restaurants especially for breakfast and lunch...but the Baeckerai is a solid entry worth going to.

We really enjoyed this place. It's exactly what it says it is - no pretensions here. Yes, it's small, but c'mon, it's out in the sticks. Our server, Kara, was very friendly and helpful. I had the cinnamon french toast, a half order of sausage biscuits and gravy, and bacon. My husband had a mushroom swissburger deluxe basket, which came with fries and coleslaw. The french toast bread was thick and cinnamony. They heated the syrup, which unfortunately is fairly rare. The biscuits were definitely homemade. Very yummy. My husband loved his burger - they were very generous with the tomatoes, pickles, and so forth. Unfortunately, the fries were underdone. He loved the coleslaw. Prices are very reasonable and portions large. They had a selection of baked goods at the checkout stand that looked delicious. The one weird thing is that the server doesn't bring you your check - you have to go up to the check out stand where all the checks are laid out on the counter top and tell them what you ordered so they can identify the correct check. That's not a bad thing - I've just never encountered that before. In any event, if you're in the area and hungry for some plain but tasty cooking, definitely check this place out.

A group of us ate at Champs during their anniversary week. The hamburgs were awesome, as were the burritos. Champs was filled, yet the service was fast and friendly. We got our drinks immediately. They even had a basket for free corn to take home.

Very small place in a strip mall, not easy to find, but worthwhile. Very good thin crust, good sauce, decent amount of toppings. Moderately priced, and very quickly done. When you order a 16 inch extra large, you are also given free breadsticks, which is a lot of food. Nice touch though!

Stopped in on a Friday night, only one other couple in the restaurant. Was a little worried but having the bridge out in town made it difficult for people to get here. Good menu, lots of selections. Beer and margaritas available. I had the carne asada tacos. You get three with a beans and rice for $9.99. A very pleasant surprise as they were excellent! lots of white cheese, lettuce and steak. Ate two, took one home. Chips and salsa is a complementary appetizer.
I will definately return to try other offerings.

Red's used to be called the Swamp Fox, with the name change has come some updating of the facility. We had the "totcho's", an interesting appetizer of tater tots loaded like nacho chips and burgers and wings. Beer selection on tap to match our tastes with the likes of Guinness and Stella Artois and a bunch of others, Very good, hot, fresh food.
