Full of Life Flatbread

5 of us for dinner. We sat in the back room not 25 ft from the wood fired pizza oven. It was interesting to watch them cook pizza and The Beast. Very interesting menu. Many varieties of pizza plus daily specials. We had a couple of Dark Lager beers to drink along with a dozen Pacific Gold Oysters from Morro Bay Oyster Co plus a melon salad. The oysters were some of the best I have had. We had 3 different pizzas. Roasted Tomato Salsa, Central Coast Sausage and Pepperoni & Peppers. All were very good. They are cut in strips vs the standard triangle shapes. Very thin crust so be careful how you pick them up to eat. For dessert we shared 1 of the house specialties - The Beast. It's a huge slab of marshmellow on top of a brownie and quickly heated in the pizza oven then it has 2 scoops of ice cream added. Delicious. The servers were very friendly & helpful. The manager came over and talked with us for a few minutes. I would gladly go back but it may be years before we are inn the part of California again.

Bob's Well Bread Bakery

Reviewed By Truckersatlas - Santa Ynez Valley, California

I challenge you to find better croissants, pan au chocolats, and kouign-amanns outside of Europe. Atmosphere is great with a mix of indoor and outdoor seating in a former gas station turned biker bar called Ghost Riders. Bob, the owner, is usually behind the cash register, he must really enjoy the feel of credit cards endlessly sliding through his point of sale credit card reader. Honestly, he is a bit of a character who likes to command his enterprise from the pointy end with the customer. At times he can seem a bit unapproachable like the soup nazi character immortalized in Seinfeld. It doesn't really matter though because you are on a quest for the best pastry and coffee in a 200 mile radius, and guess who has the deliciousness- Bob does! Coffees are great and so are other items on the menu. While Bob is the ringmaster, he is a smart business man who surrounds himself with top notch restaurant and service professionals to guarantee you'll come back again, and again, and again...

Insider Tip:
For a truly relaxing and indulgent experience try to go during the week, on a Monday or Thursday, when you can sip mochas and casually chat in peace, while enjoying your breakfast. During these slower times, Bob will often come out for a chat and check on customers, and you may get a chance to get to know the man behind the Well Bread. Fridays and weekends can be bustling with urbanite refugees

Hand crafted chocolates made fresh daily. "The Best Dark Matter In Our Home Galaxy"

Reviewed By raiderthelab - Thatcher, Arizona

We were camping in Bandelier National Monument and decided to seek out a coffee and/or chocolate place. And we got them both in the same place! Cold pressed coffee any way you like it. The chocolates were excellent! My daughter tried a chocolate 5 layer cake. It was very good and very rich!! My second daughter had hot chocolate, which was made fresh! We will definitely visit again!

A really eclectic local place with indoor and outdoor seating--or order to go from the window. OUTSTANDING breakfast. The menu offers traditional items (pancakes, eggs, waffles), but also amazing Mexican food (chorizo, menudo, etc). Love love this casual, friendly spot. Will definitely return.

Plenty on Bell

Reviewed By 633KPD - Fallbrook, California

This should not be considered a routine dining experience. It was a French Wine, Dinner event. The hold these events every month or so where the introduce wines from the area. This was a French event which was a bit unusual. The menu is pre-designed and various wines are served with each course of the meal. There is a description of each wine prior to it's serving. It's a bit expensive but a very, very enjoyable evening. The food and the wine was excellent. If you are in the neighborhood during one of these events it's worth your time. I'll go back. Can probably check a web-site and find out when the next event will be.

The 1880 Union Hotel Tapas Lounge and Saloon

Reviewed By sbrmoon - los angeles

We stopped by here as we always do on a trip to the central coast. My mistake - I had to use the ladies' room - before we had a chance to order anything. The very rude bartender made it a point to tell my husband that she would have to make the "patron's only" sign larger. She didn't bother to inquire whether we wanted a drink. To top that, when my husband asked if the hotel next door was open, she rudely yelled at him that it was closed and he couldn't go in. There are several other FRIENDLY options to choose from in Los Alamos.

Stopped by for a quick drink stop for our 3 generation family of 7. Every shake and float was delicious...the orange soda was tasty and the one burger we bought (dad was hungry) was filling. I've eaten here before and have always enjoyed them. Great stop along a long quiet drive.

They have wonderful fresh tacos and tapas with a southwestern flair. Visit the wine bar and then sit outside in the courtyard. The people are friendly and helpful. They begun as a catering company and expanded the wine bar for food service. Off the beaten path and well worth the stop. While it is not a sit down restaurant, the service is excellent and polite. Ask for the person who just arrived from Lubbock Texas and tell her you saw the review and the girl from Tn said, "Hey, girl".

While staying at The Vick and looking for some fun after eating a delish dinner at Full of Life Flatbread, we found The Station and what a find it was. Yeehaw! Live country music with musicians so good it was a crime we didn't pay to get in. The place itself was countrified with an awesome retro building and decorations. The dance floor was large and spacious. Plenty of room for everyone to do their boot scooting' boogy! Didn't think it could get any better until I went out back after the band's last song. And lo and behold, it did get better! Starting with walking under the fantastically huge, rustic chandelier on the way out back to the biggest hearth I have seen since leaving the state of CO! A ROARING fire was ablaze and many locals hanging out who were as friendly as could be. Spent quite a bit of time just chillaxin' back there resting my sore feet before heading to bed next door at The Vick (Paris Suite!). Can't wait to come back!
