The service at Dickinson Bar-B-Que & Steakhouse is excellent. The young man who takes orders was friendly, patient and good.
It's a nice barbeque restaurant on FM 517 not far from 45. We enjoyed sitting on this patio.
I found the barbeque to be average. I ordered the sliced brisket sandwich and my wife had a baked potato. I wasn't impressed with the brisket, and I didn't care for either of their barbeque sauces.
Prices were a little on the high end

If you want delicious food that's beautifully presented, this is your place. The prices are reasonable and you can bring your own wine but there will be a corkish fee. The only problem is that this is a popular lunch place so parking is an issue so get there early. The service is good so I would highly recommend it.

Nowdays, not only does the product figure in but the service has some weight as well.
We often frequent them and have since their first week in business. Not one time have we had a problem. Love the maple donuts, breakfast sandwiches, sausage pigs in a blanket with jalapeño. The kids love the drink selection and the small pigs in a blanket ( they skip the jalapeños ).
The service is always warm and inviting with plenty of smiles and greetings.
Keep up the good work!

This store has all the great features of a Buc-ee’s plus more if you can image. The have everything you need for the beach and fishing. They have dressing room to try on the bathing suits - yay! Awesome cover ups, beach bags, and tons of sandals. Lots of beach toys, chairs, coolers, sunglasses, etc. Great place to stop before your cruise out of Galveston.
Same food as the rest of the Buc-ee’s. Tons of snacks.

We were in the area with a disaster relief group following Hurricane Harvey, and wanted to share Texas BBQ with some of the volunteers from other parts of the US. Based on reviews, we picked Red River BBQ, and it came through with flying colors. It presented a clean and modern venue, which still managed to capture the feel of a good Texas BBQ joint. Lots of seating inside close to the condiments and drink refills, but we opted to sit outside at one of the numerous picnic tables. Sausage, brisket, and Turkey were universally liked by the group, but the standout was the pork ribs. Tender, moist, and easy to pull meat off the bone, they were full of flavor. I consumed most of my plate without benefit of sauce, which was a bit on the sweet & bland side for me, although our visitors thought it had a nice "bite" to it. We will probably return to Red River when we are next in South East Houston and need some good BBQ.

If you post a sticker on your restaurant front door for people to know that you support TripAdvisor & want reviews then be prepared to have honest feedback. The restaurant was filled with dirty tables and nowhere to sit. I asked the cashier where we were supposed to sit and was told that someone would be right there to clean off some tables. We waited and waited, along with others wanting tables too. No one ever did show up so I asked AGAIN and was told that they were having a busy day. Ummm NOT my problem. I ordered over $20 worth of food so I kind of expect not to be forced to eat standing up because not one of your 20 employees can clean a table. I finally got mad and requested the manager. The owner/manager (?) came up to the register from the grill and then just walked away. He seriously couldn't even talk to a customer that had requested him after experiencing poor service AND STILL nowhere to sit. What a joke! The cashier finally bused a table for us to sit after I told him to cancel my order if I couldn't sit down to eat. As for the food, the onion rings were not good. The fries were average. The condiment bar was out of ketchup. The owner/manager's wife was arranging salt shakers on the bar but neglected to restock condiment cups or anything else that was needing attending to. I guess it is too much to ask for her to have cleared some tables. This restaurant is poorly run and only cares about raking in money at the register. After you pay, they could care less about anything else. The only reason this place is popular with good reviews is because of the burger toppings you get for free on the condiment bar. Two thumbs down.

Through my cousin's recommendation, my wife and I decided to try T J Reeds this past Friday. Boy......the place was jammed pack! They don't start preparing your meal until you order it I ordered their ole fashioned hamburger.( I could taste the freshness of the meat as I savored the taste! ). My wife ordered the Portabella Mushroom Burger(Veggie burger) and was delighted. TIP: If you're going to do a take-out, call first. Otherwise, be prepared to wait 15 to 20 minutes. The place "seemed like it was a zoo", but "we could tell that everyone knew their roles and where they were going"!!!

It's nice when you can depend on good service AND good food. Kelley's League City has been serving delicious home-style country cooking for a long time. What's just as important to me, though, is the service. Management has been able to keep employees through the years; a nice change from the revolving door situation found in most restaurants. Even after the Harvey disaster I was pleased to see the friendly, familiar servers from years past taking care of guests as usual. They truly care about your experience in the restaurant.

We have eaten at this restaurant several times over the years. The food is average. The typical Tex-Mex menu, but a little tame. Portions are good and the food comes out hot. The table have rock hard wood chairs. The last couple of visits, our service has been lacking. The last time with friends, we ordered an nacho plate appetizer, which is good. Before it came out, the waiter came back and wanted to take our order. I specifically told him not to put our order in until after the appetizer was served and we finished it. The appetizer came out and two minutes later here came the food. Our table was crowed with the large appetizer plates. The waitress handing out the food was using a towel to pick up the hot plates. Although there was plenty of room to walk around, she kept handing hot plates across the table and expecting us to take them bare handed. When a couple of the ladies did not want to take the hot plate, the waitress just kept holding it across the table in front of their faces. She acted like there was a big hurry even though it was mid afternoon and not crowded. The service was definitely reflected in the size of tip, plus a note was left on the ticket.

Been looking for a good Chinese restaurant since moving to Galveston. Was disappointed after reading such great reviews. Big menu and good service plusses. Food just OK. My chicken with eggplant was super salty. Hot and sour soup was delicious. My husband had orange chicken which he said was tasteless. No orange flavoring in a bland gelatinous sauce. Perhaps it was an off day so will will give it another chance.
