I suppose I had higher expectations of this place as it looked quite popular as I drove by one day on a business trip. Unfortunately the food is just kind of average - I had a meatloaf dish and wasn't really blown away by it. Desert was pretty tasty, though - chocolate peanut butter pie.

Jacob Myers Restaurant on the River

JacobMyers is a family owned restaurant that has served the Dayton community for the past twenty years. We started off in 1998 as a small deli in the downtown area. Our goal was to provide gourmet, unique sandwiches and fresh homemade soups. We got our name from our Great Aunt and Uncle Von Dee Cruz who had a business in St. Louis, Missouri called JacobMeyers Tavern that was opened in the '30s. While we weren't allowed in there, we did always love the name. We asked if we could use the name and in 2004 they happily agreed. Now days we have moved to the banks of the Chickamauga river, less than a mile from our old location, and have expanded our menu to include 100% black angus steaks, seafood and of course our classic sandwiches. While things have changed over the last two decades our dedication to over the top quality and service has not. We look forward to the next twenty and invite you all to come by.

Our group ordered several selections from the lunch menu. We enjoyed everything. The only thing when ordering the spicy chicken sandwich..be ready it kicks..! Several lunch specials but the later hours they seem to run out. We were not fortunate enough to try for this same reason. We had soup and salad, chicken tenders: solid white breast tenders, lightly battered and extra tasty. The case has yummy looking dessert but too full this time to try. Check hours before going they seem to have certain days they are closed. I believe it was a Monday night we tried to go for dinner but found it closed.

Delia's Authentic Mexican Food

Reviewed By Angus H

When you're from Tucson, you go through life conflicted about Mexican food. You crave it, but most of what you find is unsatisfying. Not so at Delia's. The place is very authentically Mexican inside and out. The metal sculptures everywhere, inside and out, were charming and clever. The food was delicious, if unassuming. Portions were generous and service generally fast. The downsides: beer only, no wine (not sure about margaritas), and one of our party's meals came out late.

Monkey Town Brewing Co

Monkey Town Brewing Co. is an 80-seat brewery/restaurant in downtown Dayton, TN: home of the globally recognized Scopes 'Monkey" trial in 1925. This place is wonderful! The staff and management are very nice, attentive and courteous! The food is awesome! They have their own brewery too but you can also get a few domestic beers. There's 2 parts - a game room with darts and pool tables...MoreThank you so much for the great review. New Year's Eve was a lot of fun for us so we are glad you felt the same. We look forward to your return.

MoMo's BBQ is basically the same as any other BBQ place that I have been. The meat is tender and has a good smoked flavor. You can get anywhere from a sandwich up to a family feast! They have desserts that you can order to go along with your meal. But one piece of advice that I can give is ......stay away from the baked beans! For some reason they can never get them right! They always taste like they have too much black pepper....and not in a good way! So if you just get the BBQ you will be ok!

Carrabelle's Low Country Southern

Low Country is a geographic and cultural region along the South Carolina coast, mainly below the Sandhills. Towns considered Low Country include Charleston, Edisto, Kiawah Island, Folly Beach, and Hilton Head just to name a few. Some include Low Country to extend down to Savannah, Georgia. Carrabelle's came about because of our deep love for these areas, and to reflect the Southern charm, hospitality, and unique cuisine of the low country. We've included elements as far down as the Florida panhandle, and as far north as Pawley's Island. So sit back and relax, we'll take care of the rest.

Our family of four stayed at the Sleep Inn and simply walked across the parking lot to eat at Carabelle's and Wow! We ate like pigs! Chicken and Waffles and the Pork & Chicken Nachos (not sure the exact name) were both big hits. Employees were very friendly and prices were competitive. Try this place if you're ever in Dayton!

Went here with our neighbors on their recommendation. We had the crab cake appetizers and they were very good. We all had the special of the night which was very good. It was spicy but not too spicy. The special was a chicken dish over a paste in a sauce. Can't remember what they called it, but I called it excellent. Prices were very reasonable. We will come back.
