Nestled in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire is a quaint, historic 1700’s grist mill overlooking the Newfound River. It’s the home of The Mill Fudge Factory, where we make handcrafted, small batch fudge, all natural ice cream, and delicious café fare. We are family-owned and operated, serving the highest quality fudge and ice cream for over 11 years. Our mission is simple: to make people happy.
We wound up here after attending a graduation at Plymouth State University. The setting on the river with Spring's rushing flow was really pretty, but the meal experience was nothing special. We ordered two sandwiches - the special Black Bean Burger for me, and my husband had the Chicken, Bacon, Ranch. We were one of 2 couples in the entire place on a Saturday afternoon around 1:00. The food took over 20 minutes and we didn't even get our drinks ahead of time! The place is in need of a good cleaning and some finishing work. We sat out on the enclosed porch overlooking the river. When the food arrived, my black bean burger was not hot - just luke warm. Nothing special - flavor was 'meh'. My husband was equally nonplussed. The plate also had regular potato chips and two pickle chips. Not impressed -- and we won't be back. Too bad, there's nothing else around. Guess we should have gone to Pat's Tavern across the street where all of the motorcycles were.

We are a family owned and operated restaurant specializing in deli style sandwiches. Our roast beef, corned beef, and pulled pork are all cooked daily in house daily.
Blink and you will miss it. Doesn't look like much from the outside but it felt like grandmas house when we walked in and we were pleasantly surprised to see the tavern side hopping on a Sunday afternoon. Great sandwiches - we had the roast...MoreWe like to think the best way to enjoy a great sandwich is with a cold beer. We appreciate your business and hope to see you again. Thank you

The Purple Pit Coffee Shop is a cafe with indoor seating and a back lounge for eating as well as our musical entertainment, on weekends. We have a comfortable atmosphere w. cafe tables and couches. Outdoor seating is available in the summer. We serve White Mountain Gourmet Coffee locally roasted in Concord, NH. Espresso drinks and freshly brewed coffee(iced or hot)are available all day. We offer a variety of pastries, bagels, croissants, and more. Breakfast sandwiches are available all day. The Purple Pit Coffee Lounge also offers a variety of lunch sandwiches (including Panini), and salads with house-made dressing.
I met a friend here for lunch, the sandwhich was excellent and the staff was also A+. It was a little awkward because it was so quiet at lunch and no music playing so we felt like we had to whisper.

This place is friendly and welcoming. They have clean bathrooms, and offer variety of items. I personally enjoy the tv while I munch on some snacks. Which leads to me buying more snacks. One of the few places you can hangout in Bristol/Plymouth after 7pm. I'd love it if they had couches. Overall, decent prices and quality.

Had the Braised Ribs off the Fall menu, and I swear, this was the rib off a prehistoric sized cow. IT WAS MASSIVE... like could have fed 2 grown and hungry adults kinda massive. It was placed over what seemed like field of mashed potatoes, and served with (oddly) a singular sliced up and grilled beet. It was then smothered in a mushroom gravy. It was all quite tasty, and delightfully put me in a comfort food coma. Our server seemed over taxed, even though there weren't too many people in the dining room, but I think this was more her than the overall service of the restaurant. There was a lovely fire going in the back dining room - you feel like you're dining in grandma's house.

Definitely stop by Basic Ingredients when in the Bristol/Newfound area. Their sticky buns are the very best I have ever had! Lots of other yummy treats as well. They also have a great selection of gifts for the travelers from away. A great stop along Newfound Lake!

Kathleen's Cottage is a pub type restaurant that markets itself as an Irish pub. The menu is extensive and is a blend of standard pub fare with Irish influenced items. The interior of the pub does have the air of an Irish pub. Our server was engaging and efficient. Our appetizers came quickly and were tasty. Our entrees, which were sandwiches, were also tasty but took an exceptionally long time to arrive. There is a children's menu available.

We had finished hiking Cardigan Mountain for several hours. We needed a late lunch/early dinner. This was the perfect place. We had choices for us adults and our kids 5 and 7. We enjoyed good food and beer and great conversation with locals also having a late lunch.

Been going to big catch for years never disappointed. My daughter loved the escargot, for awhile it was off menu but on again. The food is fresh and plentiful, they have fried seafood, or you can order it broiled , salads, chowder, pasta, great cocktails. Across from newfound lake with it's beautiful views. A great place to have lunch or dinner and they have an ice cream stand also
