Alteingesessenes Ausflugsgasthaus in Bad Leonfelden

Reviewed By Juli J - Linz, Austria

After a beautiful ride by horse carriage, up the hill, to this lovely setting, we were welcomed with a glass of bubbly before being led into the tastefully decorated dining area. The food was delicious, the service unwavering and natural surroundings exquisite. Of particular mention would be the roasted pepper soup with a coconut foam and the trio of chocolate desserts.

Landhotel Keplingerwirt

Reviewed By ellja - Linz, Austria

Blue Lipno

This place looks great and to have a table next to a window means having a great view. Unfortunately, this is the best thing about it. The food is good, however, it is not something you would remember. The service is slow and not attentive. They passed by like 6 times before noticing that our meals are finished. Price/quality ratio is not good.

H&M Steak Restaurant

Reviewed By Poolaap - Tilburg

On our last day we had dinner at H&M. The waiter serving our table immediately set a high standard, professional service. That really stood out and i wasnt expecting it in a small village in low season.
The next surpise was the menu. Some top quality meats. Yes the prizes are high compared with other restaurants, but its worth it. All the meats were excellent. I really liked the Jack daniels sauce that came with my cut.
I haven't read the other reviews. But there seems to be some mixed reactions. I kinda guessing that maybe they have difficulty keeping up their quality day after day. Also because they serve pizza's as well. That seems to be a strange choice, maybe because tourists want pizza or something. But we definitely came on a good day.

Gasthof Haudum

Reviewed By ElisabethOnMaui - Lahaina, Hawaii

I was born and raised in Austria and grew up with all the delicious food, homemade from scratch by my mom. Living in the USA now my husband and I go back to Europe and Austria once a year. Gasthof Haudum is on our list on a regular basis.
The food is authentically Austrian. The portions are great. Local and excellent quality on your plate, served with a smile at a reasonable price, locals hanging out at their usual table, discussing everyday life.
Haudum offers a window into real life, real & homemade food, real atmosphere and real Austrian flavors. Far from the beaten path and all the tourist traps you will love stopping here and trying anything from the Fritattensuppe (my favorite since I was a little girl)to any of their Nachspeise (dessert).
Go enjoy! Mahlzeit (= Bon Appétit in Austrian)!

Schmankerlwirt

Reviewed By William D - Southampton, United Kingdom

This potentially attractive Gasthof is let down by a careless attitude towards its guests, and towards the food it prepares. The meat dishes were drenched in sauce, the vegetables were of the frozen-food variety despite the time of year (late summer). Not everything was bad, by any means; and as it was mushroom (Schwammerl) season there were some good special dishes to be had. But you would have expected a bit more from a large, well-known place whose very name implies "cuisine for the discerning".

Gasthaus Fenzl - Der Hendlwirt

Reviewed By 501j_rgens
