Vegreville Pysanka Egg

Reviewed By Dale H - Osoyoos, Canada

The egg is beautiful and set in a very picturesque park with the tourist information booth right along side. Picnic tables and adequate parking so you can stay for a while. And just a few feet away is the local municipal campground. Small, but quiet and off the highway and includes free wifi and firewood for the price. Well worth the stop

Local volunteers led by the Lion's Club have been instrumental in providing an activity for the young children of Vegreville and visitors to Vegreville. It is a delightful design that intrigues all that use it. Fun to watch your children, grand children play and soak up the sun, Some issues with parents not keeping rein on their children, and with discarded trash not being picked up.

Some visitor centres are in the middle of nowhere, but not this one! It's right next to the largest Pysanka (Ukrainian Easter egg) in the world! We stopped in and learned about the food scene in Vegreville, and bought a beautiful little Pysanka as a memento. They had lots of other info too, and the staff were great!

Want an afternoon of pampering then this is the place to go for a mani/pedi, facial, waxing and so much more. I am prone to arthritis in my fingers so having a manicure can be painful if not done correctly. Nicole does an awesome job and is so gentle. Their choice of colors is amazing. The hard part is choosing one. Everyone is friendly and the coffee tasty. Prices are reasonable. They are located right downtown Vegreville for easy access.

I love coming here, all of the old tractors and farm equipment reminds me of being at my grandparent's farm when I was a child. I will be going back this summer.

Vegreville Kinsmen Golf Club

Well kept course, especially for the area. Decently fast greens. Forgiving fairways and excellent staff.
We played here 4 times on our work trip and it seems like the locals couldn't care less about golf etiquette. We filled tee box divots, repaired endless ball marks and quit one round very early because there were multiple holes with 6-8 players on them. That being said I would definitely go back if I was in the area.

Historic Downtown - Town of Vegreville

Come stroll through Vegreville's Downtown and view our living heritage. Vegreville's architectural downtown is one of the best examples in the province. The completed street scape look includes: buildings, historical style lamp posts, brightly colored banners and historical sidewalk plaques dating back to 1905.

Reviewed By Angie H - Vegreville, Canada

For the most part the main street is kept well maintained. Some issues though with wheel chair accessibility, and those with limited ability. The main core is planted with flowers from Fjellstrom's Greenhouse, and along with the skilled and diligent staff who maintain these plants, earns national recognition from "Communities in Bloom". The sidewalks are of paving bricks with brass inserts with descriptions of the Town's history. Buildings are painted and some have the year that they were constructed on the side. Benches are on the corners of intersections for those who want to visit. A corner park with a gazebo is the crowning glory, as well as a mural on the wall opposite the park.

Historical Site, Restaurant featuring a Ukrainian dish, Conference rooms, tours. Lovely renovated Historical Train Station used for weddings, conferences, parties, etc. Call Ellen to book or view.

The same lady served us and cooked our dinner. Although motivated, she was too friendly somehow giving us a tour throughout the train Station while she cooked the 4 of us our dinners. If you insist on getting an authentic Ukrainian dinner while in town that's probably the best place to go, just know your food is frozen then microwaved.
