Our son had 15 students in his no-limits ski group yesterday, the first day of the new skiing week! They promised extra teachers would be added... today (the second day), we hoped things would be solved, as the ski-teacher had promised yesterday afternoon. But... up until lunchtime, he had a group of about 20 to 25 students! Incredible!
We chose this school because of the promise that the ski classes would consist of a maximum of 8 - 10 students...
They definitely cannot handle things in high season.
Quite disappointed. It’s a lot of money for a whole week of day long ski classes...

Obertauern Ski Resort

Not the biggest resort and it doesn't have a huge amount of runs but none of that matters when you get there. After years of putting up with French lift queues in a variety of places it was a nice change to walk up to a lift and get on immediately. The lift pass wasn't expensive but that is probably a reflection of how many runs there are. Great apres ski which seems to start around lunchtime and all in all probably one of the best skiing holidays I've ever had. My only regret is finding it so late in my skiing career!

Recommended for intermediates and advanced, althought there are limited advanced slopes. Runs are quite short and you're always within 10 mins of the town centre. Snow sure & great location. Dont expect too much from the town apart from the basic needs.

Apart from the fact there's four of them, and that there are multiple written references nearby in the immediate vicinity, you wouldn't know it was the Beatles.

Johannes Waterfall

The waterfall is just a short drive or walk (maybe an hour) West of the village Obertauern along road 99 (Tauernstrasse) down direction to Radstadt.
there are 2 ways to walk down one from a car park through the forest the other from the roadside via some stairs. at the bottom you will be able to walk behind the fall.
good shoes are recommended as the path can be a bit slippery. quite an experience to stand behind the fall and seeing the water falling down. I can imagine during spring time that the fall grows even more, but it was quite impressive during later summer.

This high rope park is set on the most beauitful place, Mountains are all around you. The course is not long, but it is pretty challenging. The obstacles are on a height around 5-6m, so it is doable also for people who don't feel that well on great heights.
