The Quobba (Carnarvon) Blowholes are definitely worth the time out to see, a fascinating natural phenomenon. Also a little further up the road (over the hill) is a beautiful beach with some great snorkelling. The bay is protected from the big waves and it's usually very calm. A must see!

The former OTC Satellite Earth Station site is the home of the Carnarvon Space and Technology Museum.
This qualifies for the same rating and interest value as the museum. We thoroughly recommend this as a place to visit and interact with the displays!!

Great attraction, shearer museum, railway exhibition, very well displayed lighthouse keepers house. Sadly the jetty is closed, this needs to be fixed up as Carnarvon does not have a lot to offer. Great coffe and sconesThank you for your visit and support. Every effort is being made to ensure that the One Mile Jetty is saved. We are glad you enjoyed your coffee and scones. Travel safely.

Did some short hikes in Kennedy Range National Park a few weeks back, some beautiful countryside out there, nice hiking paths and some excellent 4x4 paths as well that we spent a day exploring. Bring your own supplies as there is not much out there for purchase and bring lots of water.

I had this flight bought for me for a Christmas present. Although I have ridden in helicopters before this was a most pleasant flight in the two seater aircraft. Going forward into history. The Precinct was the original Port of Carnarvon, which comprised the One Mile Jetty, Lighthouse Keeper's Cottage, Lighthouse and the Carnarvon Tramway. Come and enjoy a Jetty Walk, Ride the Coffee Pot Train $10 per Adult, Explore the Lighthouse Keeper's Cottage Museum, Visit the One Mile Jetty Interpretive Centre, Wander the Railway Station Museum and the meander along one or all of the walktrails.
Next to the mile long jetty it is open 9-1 and it is a delightful little museum tastefully laid out; a real piece of Carnarvon history. We were lucky enough to have a long conversation with the last lighthouse keeper's daughter. It was fascinating listening to how the town was in the 50's & 60's. Especially how the jetty was the lifeblood of the town when it was used by the supply ships. Also to see photos of the sheep being driven to the ships along the pier.
It is well worth a look around if you like local history.

I've come across Homestead Hampers on the Carnarvon Farmers Market last Saturday and have tried one of their meet pies. The Owner, Chris, told me about how they use local meat and produce to develop their products and I though that was really cool. It's great to support the local community in such a tasty way!
