We took the half day trip and added the water sports as an extra.
The trip was real fun and Thibault was very informative and explained various things on the coastline.
We saw fish chasing the anchovies and circling them until the anchovies were pushed to the surface and then a frenzy of feeding.
Managed to do some snorkelling, my son did some knee boarding and we both did the inflatable tube at the end.
A fantastic half day out I would highly recommend to give this a go!
Christelle and Thibault are great and make you feel very welcome, they both speak very good English

For many years now, the Beach and the Restaurant at Base Nature have been one of our favourite days out on the Riviera.
Low key, relaxed and easy to reach. Parking is plentiful and if you book lunch, you can use the restaurant facilities all day!
Managed by a delightful family, they like to look after you for Coffee, pre lunch drinks and great food from a huge menu!
Service is easy, relaxed but so efficient! Food is fresh and very generous portions always.
Just a great day by the fabulous, safe and secure beach.
Thank you all!

Massif de l'Esterel

Reviewed By jg3arrow - Surf City USA

I’ve been trying to get my navigation system to route me along this amazing road between Frejus/Saint-Raphael and Cannes for some time, but it keeps routing me through some comparatively ugly inland mountain road. That way is much shorter and easier, but the road around Cap l’Esterel is worth ignoring the nav & setting out on your own voyage of discovery. Finding the start at either end can be challenging because it goes through heavy tourist and pedestrian areas. But once you are on it, you can’t mess it up. This winding road goes through areas of gorgeous villas, breathtaking vistas of the sea, and the most unique and dramatic red rock formations. At the very tip, there are viewing areas, with free parking, to savor the views. You can see hundreds of miles of coastline in either direction. (WWII coastal watchers were stationed here; the rock and cement pillboxes are still here). Allow a couple of hours to enjoy it. There is also a coastal train ride that traverses the area. Just glorious scenery and among the best sightseeing journeys on the Mediterranean coast!

Jets'Cool

We loved it and our 14 and 17 Year old certainly too! We took the 'josephine' randonnée. Very good! Very friendly staff too! But... You actually are (only) a bit more than 1 hour on the jetski (there is a break of 30' on the boat) and so it is a bit too expensive, we think.

Spécialized in leisure activities for groups and tourists. We suggest you Buggy rides: along the red rocks to discover beautiful coves and off road at the entrance of the Estérel Massif. Treasure hunt for adults and family to discover Agay playing all together. Guided Moutain bike tour

Firstly, if I had known what the buggy ride was really about - I never would have done it. Eek! But, looking back at the how exhilirating and breathtaking and fun it all was - I'm so glad I did! I didn't realize just how ragged some of the terrain would be, or how fast the buggies would go, or how winding the roads - but all of this made for such an exciting escapade with charming guides, a super friendly group and the most stunning coast line I think I have ever seen along La Corniche d'Or. There is no better way to discover the hard-to-reach bits of St. Raphael and the cheeky charm of the guides made it one of my best experience in a weekend of non-stop highlights. Try it!

To be honest I thought this was dreadful - just an area of concrete Seating with a few trees and even some artificial grass in places. Some of the views were ok but you get those anywhere along this stretch of the coast.

À refaire.

Basilique Notre-Dame de la Victoire

An impressive looking building that towers above St Raphael - such a shame a hotel was built on the harbour side. Inside is less impressive but I understand that a refurbishment is planned. The interior is quite dull looking in parts although the stain glass windows are very well done. We attended the Saturday evening vigil mass and I'd forgotten how long and drawn out French masses can be – this one was no exception mainly due to the sermon and some over dramatic organ music and singing. Sad to see the presence of police outside before & after mass – not sure if this standard now in this part of France.

Mont Vinaigre

Reviewed By Walkabout-Mike - The Hague, The Netherlands

Mont Vinaigre (Mount Vinegar) is the highest point (618m / 2,027ft) of the Massif de l'Esterel (Esterel Massif) mountain range between Fréjus and Cannes. A half an hour drive from Fréjus / St. Raphael there's a lookout point with fantastic views over the coast. The summit is a 30-45min walk over a road from the car park and provides much better views over both the coast from Cannes to St. Tropez and also inland.

Jet Ski Agay

Reviewed By Dan K - VS-Rietheim

We had a great time and highly recommend this family-run team. We reserved a couple days in advance, and the lady recommended to go for a morning trip if possible, as the sea is much calmer then. She was right!
No licence needed, drivers must be at least 16 years old; the jetskis were 2-seaters, and AgayJet has up to 4 jetskis for bigger groups. There were 4 of us.
We met the "beach team" at Agay nautical centre and she kitted us out with shortie wetsuits, life-jackets and goggles. Her son arrived on time in his speedboat with the two jetskis (actually they were waverunners) attached to the side of the boat.
He picked us up from the pier and took us a little way out to sea, gave us a short safety instruction and explained where we were allowed to go, and then we were off!
We had a practice run and a bit more advice/information, then we set off to explore the stunning views and exhilarating high-speed fun on our jetskis. We paid a very reasonable fee for an hour, which was plenty of time to go a surprisingly long distance towards Cannes at speeds of 70km/h and more. Very controllable and very safe feeling, but especially what a privilege to be on a glorious calm and clear blue sea under clear blue skies, with stunning views, we enjoyed every minute! The guide on his speedboat stayed within reach and was there if we needed to ask questions, took pictures of us etc, and gave us a signal when our time was nearly up.
A recommendation- if you don't speak any french, it may be a good idea to get local help when making the reservation because "Madame AgayJet" is definitely more comfortable when speaking french, but she and her son (who speaks pretty good english) are most friendly and welcoming and only too happy to advise and to show you the beautiful scenery of the Cote d'Azur.
Practical details: do book ahead and aim for a morning slot. Wear swimming costume and go barefoot. In the high season get there early and get ready before your timeslot, to get as much time in the water as you can. You can park for free in the carpark of the "Base Nautique". You will need ID for all participants and fill in a form for the rental. This is a small family-run business so not suitable for coachtrips or big parties.
Hope you enjoy yoursevles as much as we did!
