The intimate dining rooms within the white-columned Fearrington House, a member of Relais & Chateaux, have welcomed guests for thirty years. It’s here that Executive Chef Colin Bedford continues a commitment to exceptional regional cuisine.
Last time we dinned here we had the tasting menu in the dinning room. Looking for a more casual experience we dined at the bar this time. Still had selection from the full menu, and the chef was also kind enough to prepare me a dish that was otherwise on the tasting menu only. Excellent bar tender (forget his name). Had a great time, try the truffle pasta! The only thing I found very strange is the whole time a woman waitress was standing by the bar looking straight at us. They probably have her watching over things to make sure every detail is addressed, but it doesn't make guests feel comfortable...having her looking at us the entire time...maybe she can stand to the side or behind or further away so she's not in direct field of vision? Really made me feel weird.

You must get a milkshake! They were the best and plenty for two to share. The decor of the restaurant was fun and authentic soda fountain style. My burger and fries were great, but topping it off with the milkshake was the highlight. Everyone that worked there was so polite. The true definition of southern hospitality.

Stopped in here while passing through town recently and much enjoyed my reasonably priced coffee and fresh muffin. Very eclectic and inviting decor as well, but the friendly proprietor said the venue was moving to a new location soon. Still, I'd seek them out and give them a try the next time I'm in Pittsboro.

We love this bakery. We recently visited the new location and enjoyed their enhanced offerings of breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Of course we couldn't resist the cinnamon roles.
My wife had the English muffin sandwich while I enjoyed the beer bread sandwich. Both were outstanding.
We like the new location and the parking is much easier to navigate.

We are a cafe that supports local foods in a casual, fun atmosphere. We want to make farm to table an affordable experience. We are also an unusual bed and breakfast that is pet and child friendly.
This is a great little cafe for lunch with a friend. Good, simple food, served fresh, rustic decor and a friendly ambience. My preferred meeting place for lunch with friends in Pittsboro. I would give it five stars but it is a little scruffy from the outside. Don't let that put you off though.

Plenty of drinks on here to choose from, cute little place and very friendly staff! Nice location to grab a cup and hang out or if you want to browse the shops nearby!

Being new to the area, I heard from several people that Allen & Son in Pittsboro is the place to go for true NC barbeque. We were certainly not disappointed! Just off 15-501, Allen & Son is the real deal. The food is good, cheap, and served up quick. We got the BBQ sandwich, hushpuppies, fried pickles, coleslaw, and fries, and we were not disappointed (just a little too full!). When friends come from out of town, this is where I'll take them!

Had breakfast here on a weekday. Popular with the locals, the food is typical for a breakfast place: eggs, hash browns, egg specials. There was nothing outstanding about the food or the service, except that the 4 women working hand off service between one another. Some are friendly, others perfunctory. Its on the main street so easy to find.

The Pittsboro Roadhouse & General Store is the anchor restaurant in historic downtown Pittsboro. Just west of Courthouse Circle, The Roadhouse features indoor and outdoor seating, a lounge, bar and stage with as much music as the best in the greater Raleigh-Durham-Chapel hill area. With excellent salads, fun burgers, a weekday lunch special for $9, and entrees from pasta to seafood to steak, there's something for everyone. This family friendly restaurant has a kids menu, with a kids eat free offer on Wednesday nights when there is Open Mic & Karaoke. Set in the building where Justice Motor Works had a showroom and garage, the front dining room has floor to ceiling windows looking out on West Street. The patio provides covered outdoor seating where dogs are welcome.
Been about two years since we visited this place. This latest visit was not a good experience from the food standpoint. First the good news - adequate parking and the service was very attentive and responsive. The bad was they didn't know how to cook French fries ( soaked in grease ) and the ugly was over cooked and dried out hamburgers. We asked for medium and medium well and we got burnt/charred/dried meat. At least we didn't have to worry about bacteria in the meat since the temperature probably killed them.
It will be along time before we attempt another visit .

Just passing through, I stopped to try the Kouzina Platter. I had the chicken kabob, and it was the best thing on the platter other than the pita, which there was plenty of. All elements of the platter was just average, with nothing outstanding. Service was fast and the place was clean. There is a big room for private parties and two separate rooms for dining. They are located in the downstairs of an office building, so look for the sign at the road. Plenty of parking at night, not sure about the daytime.
