Greek House

Reviewed By OKGuy13 - Orlando, Florida

I discovered The Greek House when I was in high school in the early 80's...it was my first ever experience with a Gyro. I fell in love immediately and to this day, still haven't found a Gyro as good or as large. I don't live in Norman anymore but when I come home to visit, always try and make a stop at one of my favorite old haunts. I was concerned with new owners that things would change for the worse. Luckily, they have not.

Ray's Smokehouse BBQ

Reviewed By GlobalTripper007 - Ponca City, Oklahoma

Ray's is to BBQ what mashed potatoes are to comfort food. There's nothing about it that blows you away, but you'll keep going back to it, because it tastes & feels good. There's nothing that shouts let's go here for a special occasion, but you'll go back because you're hungry. The building screams converted Pizza Hut, but once you're mouth starts watering, you don't care.

I rate it average, because it's not KC BBQ kind of good, but it is worth a stop when in Norman.

It’s a pub oasis inside the Riverwind casino. Really your best food option in the place. Nice menu, not too big but plenty to chose from. Nice cozy seating and lighting. Fish and chips are great. Chicken Pot Pie also. There may be a wait, but it will be worth it. Not into gambling. No gambling on this place, it is good.

Have eaten here many times. The food has always been good as well as the service. They have a chicken enchilada with a white sauce, I think it was called a cream sauce, that is very good. I may be a gringo, but beware of...MoreWe're happy to hear you enjoy it! We appreciate your review and look forward to welcoming you back for more enchiladas sometime soon. Just stumbled on to this restaurant and we were very pleased. The burgers are real hamburger meat. We had a bacon burger and the onion burger. Both were amazing. French Fries were as good as the burgers. One order of fries is large enough for two. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Legend's Restaurant

Reviewed By SteveBinkley - Dallas, Texas

In a dining landscape dominated by Saltgrass; Red Lobster & BJ’s - it’s great to visit an old school and traditional local restaurant.

Legend’s has everything from the surly bartender, to the over-eager college student server, to the house mom overseeing the entire operation.

Mix-in a musician playing Johnny Cash & Allman Brothers hits on a piano in the middle of the place - and you are set for a unique dining experience.

Food - Try the artichoke dip - it’s really good

FYI - say hi to Gregg Kennedy, the piano player. Although we stumped him on most of our song requests - he kills Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash! Really interesting guy with a story or two about life on the road chasing gigs.
