Stopped for lunch after hiking at Bryan State Park, so we were hungry. The servings are ample. I had the best black bean burger with onion rings and my husband enjoyed the club sandwich with fries. Our daughter had one of their signature dishes, chicken and dumplings, which was yummy. the children's menu was varied also and came with a small dish of ice cream. After lunch we enjoyed a game of miniature golf and the cow slide.

Enjoyed an awesome breakfast. Pumpkin pancakes best ever. The dinner menu options looked so good - if only we could have returned in the evening for dinner too. Small and quirky inside as you would expect for Yellow Springs - but it appeared a large outdoor seating area may make space for more tables in warm weather. Will return here next time in Yellow Springs - breakfast was terrific.

I brought my kids here to eat some sweet pastries before going on some hikes in the area. The place was full of locals -all laughing and having a nice time.
My kids ordered 3 double chocolate chip muffins and 3 iced mochas. A hit.
I ordered a coffee and a sour cream donut. The donut is very sweet and has a crunchy outside and soft inside. Follow it with a sip of coffee and you'll know why pastries were meant for coffee or vice versa. Yummy.

We enjoyed a lunch here. There’s a healthy, creative menu and a children’s menu. They have a full bar with specialty drinks and fine wines. The decor is quaint and the walls are decorated with original art pieces and seating options are inviting. The service was very good. Pricing was moderate to low pricey.

Little ice cream stand that offers other types of food (hot dogs, etc). They have 24 varieties of "flavored" soft serve (lemon was a particular fave). DO NOT order a hot dog! I ordered the "Chicago Dog", and the bun was hard (too toasted), the condiments were all over the place (if you have ever had one in Chicago, you understand the complexity of the build) - more disappointing was the fact that the hot dog was cold... I don't mean cool, I mean cold - totally unacceptable! Was like the meat wasn't even cooked. Oh well - go for the ice cream!!

Some of the previous reviews seem a little harsh. We had an enjoyable night here, relaxing, talking having a coffee. That particular night there were 2 young bands playing. Not sure how often they have live music, but definitely a nice touch. Not loud or overwhelming. Nice looking young kids, a good time for everyone in our party.

Stopped here for dinner after a hike in the area. Pretty decent place, but crowded. Sports bar & grill type of restaurant with a selection of beers. Really good burgers too. Friendly staff. A bit overpriced I thought but still recommended.

We stopped in for a mid-afternoon meal. The wait was about 10 minutes. Everything on the menu looked delicious but we couldn't resist the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and chose to upgrade to cheese curds as on of the sides. It was Delicious! We were pleasantly surprised with an appetizer of banana bread with applesauce & coleslaw. A very pleasant experience with leftovers for another meal later!

We have been driving past this hotel for over a year and decided to have dinner there for a special weekend. We started with glasses of Sangria that were festive but nothing special. The Hurricane Garden salad ($5) was pretty but again, nothing special. Lots of cold, small triangles of cucumber in the salad. The cup of french onion soup came with a "toast with melted Gruyer" that was very good. I just wish that the toast had been on the side rather than on top of the cup so that half of it was soggy when it arrived. The french onion soup was full of tasty onions.
Bread did not come with our meal which I was surprised at. My husband ordered the Cider Chop and he loved every bite. It was a very thick pork chop that had been grilled and flavored with apple cider. Both our yukon gold mashed potatoes and almondine green beans were very good.
I ordered the Cranberry stuffed chicken breast and it was a treat. When it came out of the kitchen it looked like a chicken leg. When I cut into it, I saw that it was chicken breast that had been rolled with the stuffing and cranberry. It was wonderful. Very moist and flavorful.
The server asked if we wanted dessert and started naming the various cakes, but another tripadvisor member had talked about their creme brulee so I asked for it. The server said there was just one left....It came with 3 raspberries on top. The custard itself was cold which I wasn't used to. Very thin sugar coating on top. It was creamy and very full of flavor. We enjoyed sharing that dessert.
For a Friday night, they weren't terribly busy. We didn't wait for a table and each course came out of the kitchen relatively quickly. The server just didn't seem too happy to be there.
The host asked if we had reservations when we arrived. We didn't but I'm guessing that if you want to eat there, you should probably call ahead.
Our dinner was $100 with tip.

Business put me in Yellow Springs for a couple of days. I hung out here a couple of times. It's an excellent place to kill time. Coffee is good and there is the occasional surprise, like a very talented jazz trio turning up at lunch and playing for an hour.
WiFi is free and works!
