Stop for the nostalgic aspect but not the food. Come on, we aren't that fussy. But the food is just plain low quality. Frozen crinkle-type fries. Wendy's type frozen beef patty. Chocolate shake did not taste like chocolate at all. Should have stopped at the "Road Kill Diner". Tripadvisor posters let me down with this one!

Westside Lilo's Cafe

If you are headed out I-40 west of Flagstaff or traveling Route 66, be sure to stop here! It's a well-known cafe with fun decor, friendly staff and great food.

The pancakes are huge and fluffy (can only eat two at most), coffee is great. Fun to look at all the old photos, license plates and stickers on the walls. Someone recommended the carrot cake and we got a slice (more like a hunk) of it to go. OMG - one slice provided four servings of this decadent, delicious cake.

Route 66 Roadrunner

You will find a great gift shop with many items made locally along with a café that offers everything from a breakfast sandwich to burgers and pizza, plus you can enjoy some libations such as iced cold Sierra Nevada Pale Ale or Pilsner beer, assortment of wines, margaritas and hard liquors. We have seating inside but most people prefer the patio where the action is. Our patio is situated right on the Route 66 so you can see all the cars and people. We hope you stop in and check us out.

En route to Las Vegas from the Grand Canyon as part or or Trip we decided to take Hwy 66 from Exit 139 on Interstate 40 rejoining at Kingman; it made little difference in mileage or time but enabled a brief Route 66 experience.

What a good decision this proved to be. Seligman is great place that creates an authentic feeling of a bygone era albeit clearly designed to appeal to tourists every need.

Road Runner houses the most amazing array of gifts including art, jewellery, artifices and a large number of Route 66 souvenirs as you would expect. There is the widest selection of signs that celebrate Route 66 all priced the same to make everyone’s life easy ....... the difficult bit is choosing which one appeals to your taste best.

In addition to this you can get a Starbucks coffee, sandwiches, salads, burgers, fries etc. and there is seating both inside and out.

The staff are very welcoming and ready to assist your purchases.

It was whilst here a group of possibly 30 motorcyclists riding identical Harley Davidson’s arrived in Town in convoy as part of their Route 66 journey.

This may not have been a Route 66 tour for us but it was a taste that means we keen to experience more.

Road Runner makes you smile.

Road Kill Cafe & O.K. Saloon

Welcome to the Roadkill Café, an adventure in dining! Famous for our Char-broiled Burgers, Buffalo Burgers, and Steaks. The Roadkill Café OK Saloon is definitely well Worth the stop, along Route 66. Eating is more Fun when you know it was hit on the run! Our menu has a great selection to choose from, and we are sure to have something for everyone!!! There's Great opportunity to take pictures and shop around for souvenirs in the Famous OK Saloon Gift shop. It is filled with all kinds of antiques from the area's "old west" past as well as many animals that are indigenous to the area. Located just outside is the old Arizona Territorial Jail whose walls once corralled such notorious outlaws as Seligman Slim, Four Fingered Frank and the legendary Carl "Curly" Bane. Standing next to the Jail is a replica of some old west store fronts that have been the background for many commercials and documentaries filmed in the area. Stop in and have a great time with us!! You kill it we grill it!!!

Pizza Joint

Reviewed By RanjaniK - Raleigh, North Carolina

We were driving from Vegas to Grand Canyon and stopped at Pizza Joint for lunch. We were quite skeptical about the place initially since it was located in a small town called Seligman. We ordered a vegetarian pizza and while we waited for it for half an hour, I noticed that the chef was actually making the pizza base from scratch with a rolling pin. I was quite impressed seeing this and when the pizza came, it tasted pretty good. Though it was slightly overbaked and the cheese seemed slightly rubbery, we still liked the pizza. I would recommend this place for pizza if you cannot find any other restaurant during your drive.

A & W Root Beer

I joked with the two young men at the counter about the iced mugs of A&W which were a nickel in SoCal (50 years ago), and he produced a mug from the freezer and we had floats. Can't remember ever having a better one, service with a smile, friendly, competent - couldn't have been a better experience - even the price was right! And the restrooms, by the way, were spotless - What else could you ask for 50 miles from nowhere?

Stopped for fuel and a bite at a Chevron just off I-40. Juanhijos is a walk up counter located inside the convenience store and touts their one pound burrito. You build your own from a nice selection of meats, chicken, beans, rice and veggies. Holy cow! They are huge and delicious! We had 2 steak burritos and 2 drinks for under 19 bucks. We left full and happy. Well done.
