Steak And Seafood
It's an old-timey restaurant and bar in the upstairs of an old riverfront hotel. It's a good choice for a reasonably priced meat-and-potato meal. The hamburgers are very good and the service is friendly. Their fries, which are the basic side dish for everything, are limp and greasy though. That has to be their preferred way to serve them but, unfortunately, not the way I enjoy them. But the main courses and the service make up for the fries. This is the old waterfront part of St. Helens which is worth a stop for the old buildings, the City Hall, and the river passing by.

The staff/cooks of this restaurant are some of the nicest people. They do a lot of wonderful things for local charities, etc. Now let me tell you about the food. Yummy!
Reasonable prices. You get a lot of food. Everything I have tried has been outstanding. I can't go as often I would like...daily...because I would weigh 400 lbs.
Seriously...don't even hesitate. Go! Enjoy! You will be full and happy.

I am always looking for a place that makes Halibut fish and chips. Most have bad breading or are way to expensive. The Pacific Northwest Best Fish Company makes the best Halibut fish at a very reasonable price. The only reason it does not get five stars are their french fries. Their OK but they really need to find a better frie.

Myrtles’s tea house is such a fun experience! The owner Elizabeth changes the decor and sandwiches and soup seasonally. I always pick the miss Myrtles tea. It includes choice of 2 soups, and comes with 7 different little tea sandwiches that are outstanding! You get to pick a pot of tea from 4 pages of tea or a couple seasonal favorites! Then dessert is always a fresh out of the oven seasonal scone with 3 other bite size treats. Such a wonderful experience. She has such a fun little shop with all kind of tea and tea cups and tea pots! Such a treat!! She’s only open Wednesday thru Saturday and you need reservations. It’s my absolute favorite place!

Stopped in on a recommendation from a friend. He touted their biscuits and gravy as being excellent. At first when we got there I was a bit put off as the part where you sit down to eat was closed and only the side where you order the food was open, but decided to order some stuff anyways and just take it back home to eat as the only seating they had was outside which was a bit too cold. I ordered the Vanilla Stout Chili and a Four Cheese Sandwich with Tuna and a Bacon, Jalapeno and Cheddar Muffin. . My wife ordered the same sandwich with the Dublin Coddle Soup and a Walnut and Cranberry Scone. The Chili, Soup, Scone and Muffin were all very tasty. The sandwich was mediocre at best. They do not have much of a selection of sandwiches and the only other ones were with peanut butter, cheese and pickle which was a bit outside of my comfort zone to order. I think thier baked goods are great, and the soups are pretty good. I want to try some of the other items they have like the biscuits and gravy as well as the quiche, but not likely to order a sandwich here again unless they put something more on the menu. I would recommend the place, but would caution that they have a very limited selection and not guaranteed to have a place to sit. I will go back again and try more.

Scheduled a morning trip to Saint Helens for DMV and City Hall business saw all the amazing Halloween decorations around town decided to walk the park along the river noticed Dockside Steak and Pasta restaurant on side street looked like a nice place to have an early dinner. Did a few more errands and made a special trip back to Saint Helens just to give it a try.... Walked in and was greeted by a very nice waitress. She sat us in a booth next to 3 youngsters that were so loud I think they thought they were the only customers maybe the had a few puffs before enjoying some liquids....needless to say we asked to be moved...it was Happy Hour and both menus looked great, prices are high for a small town( worth it if they prove it) opted for dinner I ordered a pasta with a hazelnut and mushroom cream sauce sounded delightful...my other half decided on a Chicken Marsala .... we split a sald ....2 local beers. Then we waited and waited...NO Bread was offered !!! Come On it's Italian....40 min later it arrived...my dish was hot..Chicken Marsala arrived with a slight chill, maybe partially defrosted... the waitress was nice and took it back to the kitchen..there I sat with my Hazelnut, Mushroom pasta dish eating alone looking across the table at a very unhappy sweetie.... I offered bites of my dish until another unsuccessful try to get it right could not happen.....2 strikes and your OUT!!! Waitress was very sweet apologized for bad timing and took Chicken Marsala off the bill.... left sad, disappointed, frustrated that we wasted an evening in Oregon knowing there are fabulous places to dine....on the drive back home Taco Bell Drive-Thru saved the night...

Friendly people who make espresso drinks the right way. The owner is a former national champion barista. No push-button drinks like in that big chain. And each cup has a design poured in the coffee. First Class place. Have never tried any of their food items.

I have been here multiple times and have always been very favorable of the food and experience. We went here a couple of weeks ago and they slimmed down their menu taking off one of our favorites the flat bread with fresh mozzarella, arugula and a balsamic reduction ....it was the bomb!! (server said some of the items took too long to make)...
So I went with their version of a Philly cheesesteak - I have had it before and loved it (what's not to love, it has capicola in it, so of course it is delicious). Only problem was this time the sandwich had a large glob of beef fat (meat wasn't well trimmed before making the sandwich). Accordingly, it was a bit greasy and really wasn't what I had come to expect from my previous visits. Admittedly, they were pretty busy, so it is possible that they were just a bit overwhelmed and quality may have been the victim. This place is great but the kitchen is not a full commercial kitchen and I think it is hard to crank out great food in such cramped space....if only they could expand into the next door "knick knack" shop - it's never been open on any of our visits, so what's the point?!?
I will give them another shot, as I have previously referred to Fuel as the best restaurant in Ridgefield....

Old-fashioned pizza for sure, simply delicious crust and sauce perfect. We ordered the Combo style which had a lot of meat and cheese; a medium size was plenty for two. We also shared a Caprese salad with tomato, mozzarella cheese and fresh basil dressed with a balsamic dressing. Yummy, one salad was also plenty for two. The only problem we had was the place was very busy and seemed understaffed, so our order got mixed up a little but when the bill arrived one undelivered item was on it. There was no problem as they immediately re-figured the bill. Highly recommend the pizza at this place.

The food is top-notch and prices are reasonable. The service is wonderful as is the mural work on the walls. Warning: if you order their "medium" margarita, expect to get a glass the size of a pitcher. A wonderful evening with friends or family. All around great place to eat.
