Normally when I go the Greek seaside I look for a good restaurant for dinners. This July I found Ouzeri to Paramithi in Kallithea. If I had found it earlier I would have gone there every dinner as the other restaurants I found were not so good. So I would recommend first to try Ouzeri to Paramithi in Kallithea and if it turns it is not your place just then to search for another place. The service was good. But what I really liked was the food. The food there was the best compared to the other places I had visited. Try the traditional Greek food and you won't be disappointed. It is quite hot before 8 am there but there aren't many people. After 8 pm it is not so hot but the place gets a little crowded hence the service is slower.

Both vegetable and chicken soups were watery and messy though had some flavour. Didn't have more than one make of gin which was disappointing. Chicken dish was a bit bland though generously portioned. Didn't like the sight of the exposed kitchen. At least the waiters were friendly and attentive.

Its a good restaurant, has a good location , almost all the time full, they have higher prices on food. The reaction time from the employee were verry fast, they prepaired the food verry quickly. We had a sea food which were excelent cooked, very large portions. Verty good food.

Half the menu was unavailable (including the only two items i really wanted), the coffee machine was broken (or cleaned down and turned off? We'll never know!), can i have a metaxa i asked? No, we are out the response.
All in all a pretty disappointing state of affairs....but strouboulis is still the best place we've been to in afitos due to the quality of food.
It was simply a cut above everywhere else we have been in afitos. My pork steak was delicious, even though i didnt really want it! My girlfriends moussaka was one of the nicest we have had. The starters were excellent, the complimentary ice cream with cherry sauce delicious, the ouzo great..
I would go again anytime and suspect the grumbles listed at the start were just my bad luck

OPEN 1 MAY - 20 OCTOBER 2016 Soboro Bar & Restaurant is situated in Afytos village, 350m from Agios Dimitrios Church, and opposite the taxi rank. The bar & restaurant offers a friendly and relaxing atmosphere where you can enjoy a refreshing drink or something tasty to eat, regardless of the time of day. You will find a varied menu from traditional Greek dishes, Meze, fresh fish, fresh salads, and main plates. The grilled red peppers and traditional gyros are a great choice. For those looking for refreshments, there is a full bar with plenty on offer from fresh juice, milkshakes, teas, and coffees to alcoholic beverages. You can enjoy a glass of beer with a selection from Greece, Czech Republic, Belgium, Holland, Germany and the UK. For those who'd prefer a glass of wine, there is a good selection of Greek wines which can be enjoyed. For the summer evenings there is a beautiful, upstairs roof Terrace with panoramic views of the village. For our Sports fans, the bar does show local and international events. Live music is played several nights a week, and on those occasional rainy days you can catch a movie whilst enjoying a cup of the prefered.
We ate here three times (two lunches, one dinner) in one week, every time the food was great, and the service fast and friendly. The wine (both the house and bottled) was very good and very reasonably priced.

Wine Cellar Taverna. With unique creativity seasonal ingredients and ancient technique being displayed on each dish, our chef offers you a great selection of Greek dishes that you can accompany by best refreshing wines for our wine cellar .
Taverna Avli is an absolutely lovely hidden gem in Kallithea, set back from the main street. The food was a bit more pricey compared to a lot of the other restaurants but was well worth it. The fillet steak was the best piece of beef we have ever had, and all 4 of us had a big portion of it. Would recommend ordering some side dishes as some of the dishes did not come with anything.

This restaurant is fab! All the staff especially George (Nodari) are so enthusiastic and look after the customers so well! The food is very reasonably priced and the menu is large! We recommend the fried aubergines with tzatziki, pitta bread and a Greek salad to start, followed by beef stifado or lamb kleftiko!

We were recommended by a local and were SO looking forward to eating here.....yes was lovely Terrace fab atmosphere intimate but too, busy for one person to take all the orders...including drinks.
This made us wait for around 20 mins before getting any alcoholic drink for a pre dinner drink but having said, that once the wine came it was amazing as we do like our wine and relatively reasonable in price
The menu was small but sounded amazing and cooked to order.Partner chose beef steak which he was told didn't have on tonight but would be brought something nice.....it was called a 'hanger' steak which was tasty but tough as anything and very chewy certainly not deserving the €20 euro price tag. I had pork in honey and ginger which was very tasty but again meat not the tenderist I have had this holiday. Watching people have their desserts they looked amazing and tempting but unfortunately this wasn't even offered to us....just the bill brought without us asking! Even a desert wine would have been had after tasting the great wine...but no chance!
I think maybe an early finish was required as the gentleman then went and sat with others on a nearby table.
Beginning to end rather disappointed as thought this would have been a restaurant we would have revisited whilst in Afitos

Visited here on consecutive evenings mid sept. Its a stunning setting and the ambience is perfect. Service was a little hit and miss but thats ok if they get there in the end. Reasonably mid range prices however although the menu is pleasing to the eye on both nights the food was bland and a let down unfortunately. First evening I had pasta with prawns, plenty of food but lacked seasoning and any excitement for the taste buds. Second evening dry chicken breast in flat cream sauce and beef medallions that were like shoe leather with terrible creamed potatoes.... such a shame. With a great chef at the helm the place could genuinely be world class. It simply isnt and we were left disappointed twice.

Open every day 11:00am until 00:30 and for the weekend until 01:00.
Our first impression (first dinner) was very good. But after trying more than a restaurant and comparing exactly the same things we ordered, we found that elena tavern is not that special. Their tzaziki is made with less creamy yoghurt and the feta cheese they use is too salty. We ate better elsewhere. Lamb is not good quality either. Their waiters don't even seem to care too much once most tables are taken. Will not go again
