One I bought dinner for two colleagues and three steak dinners with peach cobbler for dessert was a mere $62. Steak was incredibly tender, and the salads and sides were fresh and tasty. Yummy peach cobbler - warning if you order dessert one is enough to feed three people

Saw this cute little spot on 181 and had to try it for lunch. Service was quick and both entrees were very good with plenty of fresh vegetables. Sauces were excellent. Loved the bright, quirky vibe of the converted old house. Would definitely recommend and again.

Louie owns this delightful place on the banks of the San Antonio river at the Riverbend Golf Club.
Our server was Meghan and she was training Steve, they did a good job handling everybody at this popular restaurant.
The Cobb salad was seriously substantial. It has loads of chicken, bacon, avocado, hardboiled egg, blue cheese. tomatoes, cheddar cheese, and lettuce greens. Yummy and a big to go box.
The special was a big freshly ground pattie with mashed potato, onion gravy, and green beans.
The bottomless iced tea and soda were convenient.
Veronica, one of the managers went out of her way to be helpful.
This is a fresh and bright restaurant with golf course views.

Most Chinese buffets in our South Texas region, especially small towns, are very rough and questionable with extreme subpar customer service. This place is a real stand out in those regards. Perhaps it would be middle of the road in a bigger, more optioned city, but considering where it is located, it's very exceptional. Context is everything in this review.
You won't find top notch sushi (at least during lunchtime) but the options at hand are very fresh. They fit quite a bit in a small space and everything tastes and appears really fresh and slightly higher quality than expected. I did notice fresh kiwi as a fruit choice and that's pretty rare...
5 circles considering the location, service, cleanliness, quality, and freshness.

We went to eat here on a Saturday evening. The parking lot was full which normally would indicate slow service and overworked kitchens. However, in this case the wait staff were prompt and knowledgeable about the "Specials of the Day." There was also plenty of seating for all who came in. Our steak, which was the special, was cooked perfectly and the baked potato was perfect as well. We also agreed that we have never had a bad or marginal meal at "The Maverick" and will continue to eat here.

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wanted good Mexican food. You will enjoy everything on the menu. It's good tex-mex style. You know it's good when there's not a table available & it's the middle of the week during lunch time. Also the service is quick.

Being our first visit we didn't sample a lot of different things, I had the Chicken Fried Chicken, the special of the day, and he had the Chicken Fried Steak. Both portions were huge, delicious and very flavorful. You get two sides with each dinner also, so there is plenty to eat and take home for later. Awesome sweet tea too! You must try one of the deserts also, today's was Carrot Cake, and it was melt in your mouth good.

The brisket and sausage were outstanding. They marinate their raw onions in oil and vinegar and serve them on their condiment bar. Have lived in Texas all my life, and I've never seen that before, but I sure ate my share of them with my po boy. The restaurant was filled with pictures of local FFA and 4H students and their prize livestock, which I really liked.
