El Baqueano

The Baqueano comes from its etymological root baquía, which means the practical knowledge of the paths, shortcuts, roads and rivers of a particular territory, also the skill and dexterity for manual works and the fact of being a veteran, experienced in particular subjects. Sometimes the figure is a man, in opportunities he seeks, others he traces, accompanies, knows, understands, mimics with the earth, leaves walking or riding his horse, leaves traces, and recognizes them, finds food and channels water, see the stars and constellations, eat, nourish, respect the earth.

Fantastic Food. Excellent service. An overall wonderful experience. Totally worth the price for the set menu. There was a huge amount of flavour complexity and variety. I am vegan and celiac (allergic to gluten) and they catered for me perfectly. I did not feel like I was missing out on anything because the flavours and dishes were so complete.
Highly recommend a trip to this lovely little restaurant. Make sure you book and press the doorbell when you arrive.

An awesome night...Great reviews... Hence our choice. Our experience was without fault. We have eaten in 1 and 2 star Michelin restaurants before and although they aren't awarded in Argentina this place thoroughly deserves at least one. The food was outstanding in its execution, innovation and choice of flavour combinations which worked incredibly well with wine pairings thanks to Nas a knowledgeable and very personable sommelier. The pourings were very generous and involved top ups for a degustation. An 18 course 3 hrs experience to be repeated if it when we return to Buenos Aires. Great job... Michael the chef of the night came and delivered two dishes personally. Fantastic touch. The fact that that all aspects of the menu were nationally sourced including the highest quality quality malbec and pinot noir topped a great night. Thanks guys... Muchas Gracias!

The place is large, 2 floors of table, The food is pseudo italian, unacceptable pizza, for example. Many people, including many foreigners. A lot eating outside and smoking like chimneys. The waiters rude and unhelpful, in a hurry to clear the table for new customers. Would not return

Once you step out from Capital City into the wildness of the Buenos Province itself, it gets really hard to find a good restaurant. Basically, prices get lower and so is quality in general. But El Viejo Cañón, five minutes away from Pueyrredón Bridge (limit between Capital and the rest of Buenos Aires), is a huge exception.
Service is amazingly professional, food is great (but not outstanding) and prices are definetely good.
To share with your family.
Ps: get the Apple Pancake and ask it with some ice cream on top. You wouldnt believe how tasty. Plus the show.
