Wymondham Abbey is located in the market town of Wymondham and is the town's parish church. As well as being an active church with services every day, the Abbey is also a hub for the community for events such as family activities and Concerts. In November 2015 the Abbey Experience opens with improved facilities including accessible toilets, enhanced visitor experience including the display of original artefacts and manuscripts and hands on activities for adults and children to engage in the heritage of this special place. There is lots to see at the Abbey and our Stewards are always on hand to answer questions. The Abbey also has a shop which sells souvenirs, locally made gifts and produce, seasonal products and spiritual books. There are regular events at the Abbey so do visit the Abbey website for further details and to check opening hours.

Took the Lotus License 2 and 3 course on Saturday and Sunday. Absolutely brilliant. Instructor was fantastic. I had so much fun. Learned heaps. I have every intention of returning for their private lesson course. A big thanks to the whole crew who made for a most memorable time. (I thought I was going to have to slip a 20 to the instructor to let me drift but it turns out it was part of the course!)

We found the displays about local history very interesting, but were disappointed that the cafe was not open on the day of our visit and we were not warned about this when we paid our admission. We only really went into the building to use the cafe as we thought we would rather support their cafe rather than one of the commercial outlets in the town.

We went to Wymondham (careful with that pronunciation, folks) for a talk in the museum and took the opportunity to explore at lunchtime. We ate our packed lunch under the market cross and checked out tourist info too. The lady was super helpful and told us where the local park was. I thought parking was really cheap in the car park! Made it worth staying all day! Very pretty town, we will be back!

I have been on this tour a few times now and cannot recommend it enough.
Classic Team Lotus is a fully functioning historic racing team and yet as busy as they are the very warm welcome you receive is worth the visit itself. Clive Chapman, son of Lotus founder Colin Chapman, welcomes you and explains how the company was formed from the original Team Lotus. You are then taken of a tour of these historic workshops by Sapphire, Steve and Tom, all of whom have a wealth of knowledge about the cars and team. As for some of the tales they tell, well you wont find some of these in books! You are then allowed to look round at your own leisure taking as many photos as you wish. Being a fully operational racing workshop the Lotus F1 cars are not displayed as in a museum, i.e. roped off, but are there, right in front of you being prepared for their next event.
All in all, a wonderful, friendly, informal evening for anyone interested in the history of one of the all time greatest Formula 1 teams.

Kimberley Hall

Reviewed By Abbeylls - Norwich, United Kingdom

We visited in June 2015 for a wedding reception, you drive past 2 pink cottages and up a long driveway and arrive at the very impressive Kimberley Hall. It is a wonderful setting, the house interior is beautiful and the Gardens are well maintained with lovely views of the lake.
Canapes were served to the waiting wedding guests, in very plentiful amounts and very nice – chipolatas, spring rolls and prawns. Waitresses served these to the guests inside and those out in the Gardens.
The room where the wedding breakfast was served was really nice. In an L shape it was bright and I loved the brick interior. The food was delicious; chicken served with Pancetta and vegetables (asparagus, sugar snap peas carrot and new potatoes). Dessert was excellent – a huge pavalova served with cream and fresh fruit.
The after meal teas and coffees were served upstairs in a comfy area with sofas. This area overlooked the dance floor.
The downstairs area was laid out nicely for the evening reception, hog roast rolls with crackling was served (and vegetarian options), I did not have one but I heard they were very nice.
It is such a romantic and beautiful setting, a historic house that reminded me of a National Trust property. An ideal setting for a wedding, it really does have the wow factor.
