Chiang Mai Highlands Golf Course

We played in a flight of 3 mid handicappers.
The course was challenging but enjoyable thanks to the experienced caddies who were very helpful to our game.
The green constantly fooled us into misjudging its speed and slope but when we took their suggestion, we would be safe. We had a lot to learn from them. They were also hardworking in helping us find and spot the balls.
Amazing game.

San Kamphaeng Hot Springs

A great spot to visit around 1 hour drive from Chiang Mai.
Full of Thais, no ferang there.
Buy your eggs at 20b on entering and cook in the 105°c watwe that gushes from the geysers. It is worth spending a couple of hours there in the shade.

Mueang On Cave

Reviewed By JohnnyChu - Hong Kong, China

Muang On Cave is not difficult to reach, just head east from Chiang Mai City on Highway 1317 for about 40 minutes and up a hill. Parking space for bikes are plenty but limited for private cars. Hiking to the hilltop is free, but you must pay an entrance fee to a Thai lady at the bottom of the staircase if you want to visit the cave. The cave entrance is on the hill side and is easy to locate with some locals renting torches if you forgot to bring one. The cave itself is reasonably lit so a torch is not a must, rather a safety precaution. Staircase inside the cave is very steep and you should also watch your steps on the uneven cave floor.
This is not an extensive cave but still have some interesting rocks and some nice budda statues. If you happen to lodge around the area, this is a cool place to be. Otherwise, I still suggest Chiang Dao Cave up north of Chiang Mai.

Kew Fin Viewpoint

Reviewed By traumleben2016 - Chiang Mai, Thailand

nice trip from chiang mai on a realy quiet road. Follow 1317 from Chiang mai (or use backroads like 4063 + 4041) and take well sighnposted turnoff for Kew Fin. in the rivervalley you will see a couple of touristy villages and a waterfall before it gets very steep. On top is this lovely lookout (200m on way to walk) with an almost europaen flair! Very nice.
Follow the road down the mountain and return on 1252 to make it a circle
