My family of 4 totally enjoyed our white water rafting experience with Deaana and Spencer! They were a hoot and we enjoyed getting to know them. They were totally experienced and we all felt completely comfortable with them. While Spencer showed all his tricks in the kayak, Deanna guided us down the Wanatchee River giving us facts about the area and giving us the best experience! Thanks guys! This Texas bunch had a fun time!

Leavenworth Reindeer Farm

Leavenworth Reindeer Farm is a USDA licensed farm located less than 1/2 mile from downtown Leavenworth. We provide farm tours for the whole family by appointment only. Come meet our friendly reindeer, feed them and take photos of a magical experience on the farm.

The reindeer farm was absolutely amazing. They greet you upon arrival with offers of hot cocoa and a warm fire. They introduce you to their furry farm friends. The tour starts with a learning session about reindeer. Hans was very funny. I enjoyed his jokes.. I had the absolute most fun feeding dear, sweet Elsa by hand. We will be back with all our children and I will be recommending this farm to everyone I know. Thank you for the wonderful memories.

Saw this place off the side of the road. It was very fun. There is even a picnic area. My kids went on the cow train ride. It is $3 per rider. There was also free swings and slides among other things. They had fresh fruit as well as a very nice store with wine, candy, jams, jellies, spices, BBQ sauces, dip, popcorn...etc the list goes on. Really nice place. I highly recommend stopping by.

Wenatchee River County Park

Situated between Highway 2 and the river is a nice rv park. The park is very clean and the sites are easy to get into. The road noise can be a problem sleeping along with the nearby train tracks. There is also a day use area in the park. The park is very well kept and worth at least one night.

We were visiting Leavenworth in November and decided to take a stroll in Waterfront Park. Much of it was flooded but the parts that weren't were really fun to walk around. Beautiful views and some good bird watching. Recommend!

Icicle Ridge Winery

We arrived to the tasting room on a very rainy day. Fortunately we were the only people there on this day and were treated to additional tastings. Most wines were good but really our favorites were the 2015 Sangiovese and 2013 Sangiovese Port. We also picked up a bottle of 2013 Vintner's Reserve Merlot. Our least favorite wine was Chardonnay. Still, give it a try, you may love it. The tasting room, really a retirement home turned winery tasting room, is gorgeous. A log cabin style design with a huge rock fireplace.

Visiting Leavenworth a week before Christmas and it was very crowded village with Christmas lighting at the village center. We're so lucky to get white Christmas since there was heavy snow one day before we arrived there; thus all Leavenworth was covered with white powder snow. It was beautiful view in the afternoon and night as the Christmas lighting lit up the city. It's a worth visit during Christmas time and don't forget to try best hot dog at Munchen Haus.

Wedge Mountain Winery

Located on a beautiful bend of the Wenatchee River, 5 mi east of Leavenworth, Washington, Wedge Mountain Winery is a boutique, family-owned winery where the wines are proudly produced on site, and have proven their quality in major wine competitions. Mary Ann and Charlie (owners, Charlie is the winemaker) will most likely be there to welcome you and lead you through a tasting of some fantastic wines, in an incredible "orchard garden" setting. "Walk-abouts" and picnicking encouraged!

Reviewed By Gary M - CA

Although Icicle Ridge Winery is apparently the best known and most popular winery in the area, I think Wedge Mountain is better. Perhaps, the issue is that Icicle Ridge is larger and fancier but the wine is (should be) the thing.

Wedge Mountain is a very small winery with a very simple tasting room sharing space with their office and storage area. It is owned by a couple, Mary Ann and Charlie, which apparently do pretty much everything including hosting the tastings.

The wines are on the high side cost-wise but this is a common problem with smaller wineries. Try their Cabernet Sauvignons which are very nice and their Cab Franc, a less common variety as a stand alone wine but worth tasting. The tasting fee of $5 is applied to a purchase.

We always go to Icicle Brewing on our Leavenworth visits. Love sitting outside and having wine or beer and their meat and cheese tray. Relaxing and fun atmosphere, great location to people watch! They offer standing heaters outside too if the weather is on the cooler side. Like that it is dog friendly, too!

We did not realize the miles of fruit trees as we drove from Leavenworth to Wenatchee. I'm sure we were trespassing when we stopped to take a few photos but we did not pick any of the fruit.Hello Dianne, We are happy that you loved seeing our beautiful fruit trees. Please come back in the Spring and see the beautiful bloom.
