This is a nice mall to chill on a Saturday morning, dad can have a beer while watching t the kids enjoy the waterfountain, while mom can shop, there is movies, good restaurants. They have a small train for the kids and a merry-go-round for the entertainment for the kids. Enough shops to cater for your basic needs.

Irene Farm

A working dairy farm in the city is not something one would expect to find nowadays. Situated in the heart of Gauteng, in the beautiful village of Irene, the Van der Byl family (now in their fifth generation) have generously welcomed locals and visitors from afar, on to their farm for many years – allowing young and old to enjoy the dairy farm experience without having to leave the city. With its rustic farm feel, Irene Farm has never lost its old-world charm although it has expanded and developed its offerings over the years. Two restaurants on-site (The Barn and The Deck), a great kiddies playground and areas to stroll around whilst enjoying the farm animals in beautiful surrounds make it a memorable family day out. If you are looking for farm style, home baked goodness and fresh farm milk, then a visit to The Dairy Shop situated at the entrance to the farm is a must. In addition to this, it’s a wonderful venue for weddings, kiddies parties and special occasions.

What a lovely farm; to families, as a couple, going solo, as groups of friends with kiddies it has always been such a refreshing treat over the many many years of visiting. Such enjoyment watching run around chickens, the very well-endowed cows before being milked,...MoreThank you very much for taking the time to leave this wonderful review we are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your visit to Irene Farm and look forward to seeing you again soon. Voortrekker Monument

The majestic Voortrekker Monument is situated in the northern part of South Africa in the Pretoria (Tshwane) region in a nature reserve. It is a unique Monument which commemorates the Pioneer history of Southern Africa and the history of the Afrikaner and is situated in a beautiful setting. Today it is the most visited heritage site of its kind in Gauteng and one of the top ten cultural historical visitor attractions in the country.

Definitely a must do if you are in Pretoria. Beautiful building with amazing panoramic views from the top. The museums both in the visitors centre and in the monument are great and give you a real understanding of the Afrikaans history and South African history as a whole.

Acrobranch Centurion

I went with my sons, age 13 and 15. I was a little nervous but wanted to give it a try. We went with the toughest course, which was fun for my boys; a challenge for me (but I did it!). Our guide Ernest was excellent, attentive, gave clear directions, and even helped take some photos for us. He also helped me finish, without rushing or making me feel bad, since I was at the end of the pack. Ernest was great-- he went over and above. I'd definitely go back. It was a lot of fun. Afterward, we had a delicious lunch at the Red Barn. It was a good day.

Centurion Mall

Reviewed By Anna B - Centurion, Gauteng, South Africa

A very large mall with most standard shops and facilities, but the layout with different levels and passages is confusing. What is very bad is that there are no direction boards or maps. Shopping here is tiring as you have to hunt for what you are looking for and even if you know where you are going there is a lot of walking involved. I am sometimes forced to go there as it is the largest shopping centre in Centurion with some shops and facilities not found elsewhere but I avoid it if possible. As I don't regularly shop there and they are forever rebuilding and changing it makes the lack of directions even worse. Not age or disability friendly.

Sammy Marks House

Reviewed By surya77 - athens

This 48 room, beautiful Victorian mansion which is now a museum, with it's lovely garden, is definitely worth a visit. The Mansion, which is called Zwartkoppies Hall and dates from 1884, is situated about 23 klms outside Pretoria.
It was the home of Sammy Marks( Samuel Markovits), a Lithuanian, who arrived in SA in 1868, a poor man, and ended up being one of the country's leading industrialists. To visit the house - which is a must- one has to join a guided tour, as we did. There are so many precious, historical and antique items including porcelain, silver, painting and furniture in the museum that it would not be possible to do it otherwise.
What is so special about this Museum is that the Mansion with all it's interior has been preserved as it was. This, ofcourse, is responsible for the amazing atmosphere one feels when inside. What an opulent life the family lived!
Very happy and grateful that something with so much history and beauty is being taken care of and still stands as it was, a memorial to a man who followed his dream and reached amazing heights in doing so.

This would be a super stadium if the parking situation was improved surrounding the area. People are encouraged to double park on traffic Islands and illegal spots by car guards trying to make a quick buck! The area is being developed so hopefully some improvements will be made.
